A RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT GPA- 82-21 PURSUANT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO.
2318 - ADOPTED THE 14TH
DAY OF OCTOBER, 1982
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment (GPA-82-21) to the City's General Plan
.is set forth in Resolution No. 2318 of the Planning Commission entitled
"A Resolution of the City of South San Prancisco Planning Commission recommending
that the City Council amend the Land Use and Circulation Elements of the General
Plan and Maps related thereto changing (1) the land O~deslgnatiOn o'F unincorp-
orated land in the City's Sphere of Influence along the west side of BayShore Blvd.
from Randolph Ave. north and westerly or' the City limits, from low density r~siden-
tial and regional Dark to heavy commercial; (2) the realignment of Hillside Blvd.
Extension Project ~orth and parallel to Mando'lph Ave; and (3) ~he realig)lmunC of
the Oyster Point Blvd. Interchange with Highway 101 north of its present location
to intersect generally opposite the planned-Hi~tlside~Extension.''
attached hereto as Exhibit A, and
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of October
, 1982 , by Resolution
No. 2318 the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco approved
and recommended same to the Council, as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto,
and
WHEREAS, the Council, pursuant to the Government Code of the State of
California, duly set a hearing thereon for the 20thday of October
1982 , notice of which was published in the "Enterprise-Journal," a newspaper
of general circulation printed and circulated in the City of South San Francisco,
and which date of publication was more than ten (10) days prior to the date set
for said hearing, and the affidavit of said publication is on file in the
office of the City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold said hearing on said date and did there-
upon consider said amendment and the statements and communications made at
said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
1. The Council hereby adopts as an amendment to the City's General
Plan the amendment recommended by the Planning Commission in Resolution No.
~. 2318 , designated GPA,82-21 , as set forth in Exhibit A
attached hereto, thereby amending the Land Use and Circulation Elements of the
General Plan and ~laps related thereto pursuant to Resolution No. 2318
2. The said amendment be endorsed as adopted by this Resolution and the
Mayor and City Clerk shall execute said endorsement.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisc° at a
adjourned regular meeting held on the 27th day of October , 1982 ,
by the following vote:

~/{EREAS, the Planning Camxission held a public hearing on October 14, 1982,
to consider General Plan Amen~t GPA-82-21; and
WHEREAS, a Mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared for this Amendment,
referencing the Terrabay Development Environmental Impact Report, in accordance
with the California Environmental Quality Act, as amended; and
~IEREAS, the Planning Conmi~ion finds that the proposed Amendment will not
·
be detrimental to the public health, safety, or general welfare; and,
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco anticipates the potential annexation
unincorporated territory, adjacent to the northerly City limits and westerly
of Bayshore Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the proposed General Plan Amendment would acc~ate the proposed
Terrabay Development Project (a.k.a. South Slope Project).
hDW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Conmission of the City of South
San Francisco that it is reconmended that the City Council approve General Plan
Amendn~nt GPS-82-21, depicted on Exhibit "A" and approve Mitigated Negative Declaration
No. 382 referencing the Terrabay Development Environmental Impact Report, Exhibit
