CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING COMPENSATION
AND OTHER BENEFITS FOR THE
CITY CLERK AND CITY MANAGER.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that:
1.0 CITY CLERK
a) Salary: Commencing with the pay period which includes July 1, lg82,
the City Clerk shall receive an increase of six percent {6%) in both
the Base and City Payment of PERS ranges. The new ranges shall be 1118
{Base) and 1047 {Range with City Payment of PERS). The City Clerk may
elect to have the City make the total employee contribution to PERS.
If the City Clerk so elects, he/she shall be compensated by the pay
range which shall reflect the City payment of PERS {Range with city
Payment of PERS). This election and the ability to convert the City
payment of PERS back to wages {Base Range) shall be governed by the
same terms, requirements, and conditions as are applicable to Executive
Manangement Employees in accordance with Resolution No. 14g-~?,
Approving Authorizing Certain Salary Adjustments, Benefits and Terms
and Conditions of Employment for Executive Management Employees.
b) Benefits: The City Clerk shall be entitled to receive those benefits
(excluding salary adjustments} as set forth in Resolution No. 149-82,
Approving and Authorizing Certain Salary Adjustments, Benefits and
Terms and Conditions of Employment for Executive Management.
2.0 CITY MANAGER
a) Salary: Commencing with the pay period which includes July 1, 1982, the
City Manager shall receive an increase of six percent (6%) in both the
base and City Payment of PERS ranges. The new ranges shall be 2404
(Base) and 2246 (City Payment of PERS). The City Manager may elect to
have the City make the total employee contribution to PERS. If the
City Manager so elects he shall be compensated by the pay range which
shall reflect the City Payment of PERS (Range with City Payment of
PERS). Further, the City shall no longer make any contributions to the
Deferred Compensation Plan. Said contributions have been converted to
wages and are now reflected in the Base and City Payment of PERS pay
ranges for City Manager. The election to have the City pay the
employee contribution to PERS and the ability to convert the City
Payment of PERS back to wages (Base Range) shall be governed by the
same terms, requirements, and conditions as are applicable Executive
Management Employees in accordance with Resolution No. 149-82 Approving
and Authorizing Certain Salary Adjustments, Benefits and Terms and
Conditions of Employment for Executive Management Employees.
b) Benefits: The City Manager shall be entitled to receive those benefits
(excluding salary adjustments) as set forth in Resolution No. 149-82,
Approving and Authorizing Certain Salary Adjustments, Benefits and
Terms and Conditions of Employment for Executive Management.
3.0
This Resolution cancels and supercedes provisions of Resolution No.
129-81, adopted October 21, 1981, as it pertains to the City Manager and
City Clerk.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re.qular
meeting held on the 17th day of November , 1982, by the following vote:
