CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION FOR THE MUNICIPAL
REORGANIZATION OF AN UNINHABITED STRIP OF LAND
DESIGNATED AS SOUTH ANNEXATION NO. 1 ALONG BAYSHORE
BOULEVARD RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM THE CITY OF BRISBANE TO
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PURSUANT TO THE
MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977 (GOVERNMENT CODE
SECTION 35000, ET SEQ.)
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco of the County of San Mateo
desires to initiate proceedings for the reorganization hereinafter described;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
does hereby resolve, determine and requests as follows:
1. Application.
Application and proposal is hereby made to the Local Agency Form-
ation Commission of the County of San Mateo for a change of organization as
fol lows:
(a) This proposal is made pursuant to the Municipal Organization
Act of 1977, commencing with Government~'Code Section 35000.
(b) The nature of the proposed change of organization and the
name or names of all districts and cities, if any, for which change of reorgan-
ization is proposed are as follows: Annexation of Bayshore Boulevard Right-
of-Way to City of South San Francisco from the City of Brisbane.
(c) The names of all other affected counties, citi~es and.dSs~tricts
are: City of Brisbane.
(d) The territory included within this proposal is found to be
uni nhabi ted.
(e) A map and legal description of the exterior boundaries of
such territory are attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and are made a part hereof
by this reference.
(f) The LAFCO Application/Petition form is attached as Exhibit
"B" and is made a part hereof by this reference.
(g) It is desired that the proposed reorganization provide for
and be made subject to the following terms and conditons' None.
(h) The reasons for this proposal are as follows: The City of
South San Francisco requests that the public roadway, Bayshore Boulevard, be
placed within the same jurisdictional responsibility as the adjacent property.
(i) It is hereby requested that proceedings be taken for the
reorganization hereinabove proposed.
2. Certification.
The City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco is hereby
authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the
Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
San Mateo.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 19th day of January , 1983, by the following vote:

REQUEST AND PETITION, as follows:
(a) This proposal is made pursuant to: The Knox-Nisbet Act
The Municipal Organization Act commencing with
Section 35000, Government~ Code.
The District Reorganization Act of 1965 commencing
with Section 56000, Government Code
(b) The nature of the proposed change of organization, reorganization,
or municipal reorganization and the name or names of all cities and districts

(d) A description of the exterior boundaries of such territory

map of the subject territory is set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto,
and by this reference made a part hereof.
(e) The affected territory included within this proposal is:

(g) The reasons for this proposal are as follows:

Government Code as enumerated within 'paragraph (a) of this petition.
