CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
JEAN ALTIZIO
WHEREAS, Jean Altizio, has served as a member of the South San Francisco
Library Board from September 17, 1975 to December 17, 1982; and
WHEREAS, she has contributed to the welfare of this community through
numerous other activities, including her service as the Chairman of Children's
Services, her work with the South San Francisco Unified School District, and
her numerous leadership positions in various South San Francisco PTA groups; and
WHEREAS, she has been a member of the South San Francisco Women's Club,
the South San Francisco Friends of the Library, and the League of Women Voters;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express appreciation to her for said
services to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the Council does hereby express appreciation to Jean Altizio
for her contribution to the City's progress and welfare through her service as a
member of the South San Francisco Library Board and numerous other civic activities
through which she unselfishly gave time, interest and effort to advance and better
this community, and by which she established a high standard of civic conduct
worthy of following by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this
commun i ty.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held on the 2nd day of February , 1983 by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte,
Gus -Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia
