HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 19-1983r RESOLUTION NO. 19-83 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO DENNIS ROSAIA WHEREAS, Dennis Rosaia, has served for a total of more than six (6) years as a member of the South San Francisco Parking Place Commission, during which time he served as Chairman since February 9, 1982; and WHEREAS, he was born and raised in South San Francisco; and WHEREAS, he was a local businessman since 1954, serving as the founding President of the Downtown Merchants' Association and as a member of the South San Francisco Rotary Club; and · WHEREAS, he was very active in the All SoulS. Church, and was Past Presi- dent of the Young Men's Institute; and WHEREAS, he has contributed to the welfare of this community through numerous other activities; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express appreciation to him for said services to the community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby express appreciation to Dennis Rosaia for his contribution to the City's progress and welfare through his service as a member of the South San Francisco Parking Place Commission including the redesign of Walnut Avenue to provide additional parking, and he was instrumental in the purchase of additional parking on Baden Avenue, and numerous other civic activities through which he unselfishly gave time, interest and effort to advance and better this community, and by which he established a high standard of civic conduct worthy --- of following by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this community. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 2nd day of February , 1983 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte, Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia NOES: None ABSENT: None City Clerk
