CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
MARCO SENALDI
·
WHEREAS, Marco Senaldi, has served for a total of more than twenty-two
(22) years as a member of the South San Francisco Housing Authority, since his
appointment on November 21, 1961; and
WHEREAS, he came to South San Francisco in 1940 and chose to make this
City his home; and
WHEREAS, he was employed in the shipyards as a Leaderman in the ship-
building during World War II; and
WHEREAS, he was a very successful businessman, and was the proprietor
of Marie's Restaurant on Grand Avenue for many years, and was the Past President
of the Restaurant Culinary Association of the Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, he has contributed to the development and welfare of this commun-
ity through numerous other activities, including pioneering the first construction
on Bayshore Boulevard in the City of South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express appreciation to him for said
services to the community, which services already have been recognized in that a
street called "Marco Way" has been named after him; and
WHEREAS, as a public official of said City, he did always conduct himself
with the utmost loyalty, faithfulness, and competence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the Council does hereby express appreciation to Marco Senaldi
for his contribution to the City's progress and welfare through his service as a
member of the South San Francisco Housing Authority and numerous other civic
activities, which include his memberships in the California Golf Club, and the
Young Men's Institute in which he served as its Past President, through which
he unselfishly gave time, interest and effort to advance and better this commun-
ity, and by which he established a high standard of civic conduct worthy of
following by those who desire to contribute to the welfare of this community.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular

meeting held on the 2nd day of F. ebruary. , 1983, by the following vote'
