CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
WILLIAM MERELLAS
WHEREAS, William Merellas, has dedicated almost twenty-three (23)
years to the Water Qual~y Control Board of the City of South San
Francisco, du~ing which period he faithfully served the City; and
WHEREAS, Willx~ Merellas was f~t employed by the City of South
San Franc~co as a Plant Operator II on May 16, 1960; and
WHEREAS, on January 16, 1973 he was appointed Elec~~n-Mecha~c,
and in December of 1973 he received a Grade IV State Operator Certifica-
tion and since November 9, 1979 he was appointed and served as Chief of
the Plant Operations; and
WHEREAS, the City des~es to express appreciation to him for said
services to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that the Council does hereby express appreciation
to W~am Merellas for h~ contribution to the City's progress and
welfare through his service as a member of the Water Quality Control Plant
through which he unselfishly gave t~me, interest and effort to advance and
b~tter th~ community, and by which he estab~hed a high standard wo~hy
of following by those who d~sire to cont~bute to the w~Ifare of
this community.

I h~reby certify that the foregoing Resolu~n was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Councdl of the City of South
San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 16th' day of March ,
1983 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addiego, Emanuele N. Damonte,
Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia
