CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND
CONSENT TO DEEDS OR GRANTS CONVEYING
EASEMENTS TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Section 27281 of the Government Code empowers this City Council
to pass a general resolution authorizing an officer or agent to accept and con-
sent to deeds or grants conveying any interest in or easement upon real estate
to the City of South San Francisco for public purposes; and
WHEREAS, this City Council finds that it is necessary and convenient
for the efficient operation of this City to grant such power, in limited form,
to its City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
'San Francisco that:
1. The City Manager is.hereby authorized to accept and consent to deeds
or grants conveying easements upon real estate to the City of South San Francisco
for public purposes.
2. The authorization given to the City Manager by this resolution may
be exercised by him from time to time as he deems necessary for the efficient
operation of the City until rescinded by resolution of the City Council.
3. The authorization granted herein is not intended to be given to
one individual; rather it is intended to be given to any individual lawfully
fulfilling the duties required of him during his tenure as the City Manager of
the City of South San Francisco.
4. The power granted to the City Manager herein does not include the
power to accept deeds of any fee interest in real estate on behalf of the City
of South San Francisco.
5. Any certificate signed by the City Manager pursuant'~to Section 27281
of the Government Code· shall refer to this resolution by number and date.
6. Upon execution of a certificate pursuant to Section 27281 of the
Government Code, the City Manager will forward it to the City Clerk, who shall
then cause said certificate to be attached to the deed or grant of easement and
shall cause those documents to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of San Mateo.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 6th day of April , 1983, by the following vOte:
