CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
RAYMOND L. ANGELI
WHEREAS, Ra~anond L. Angel i has served the City of South San Francisco as
a member of the South San Francisco Personnel Board for more than twenty-four
(24) years, being first appointed on November 17, 1958; and
WHEREAS, he has served as the Vice-Chairman for the Personnel Board
in the calendar years of 1961, 1969, and 1978, and in 1962 he was appointed
as Chairman of the Personnel Board; and
WHEREAS, during his years of service he was instrumental in reviewing and
revising the Personnel Rules and Regulations for the City of South San Francisco
and helped to initiate major changes in personnel policies and practices in the
Affirmative Action Program and the Public Employees' rights to representation
granted under the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act; and
WHEREAS, he has contributed to the welfare of this community through his
activities and the City Council desires to express appreciation to him for said
services; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the Council does hereby express appreciation to Raymond L.
Angel i for his contributions to the City's progress and welfare through his
service as a member of the South San Francisco Personnel Board and as its
Vice-Chairman in subsequent years, through which he unselfishly gave his time,
interest and effort to advance and better this community, and by w~ich he
established a high standard of civic conduct worthy of following by those

who desire to contribute to the welfare of this community.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an
adjourned regular meeting held on the 13t'h day of
19 83 by the following vote'
