HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 52-1983 RESOLUTION NO. 52-83 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCOj STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING JACQUELINE SANFORD WHEREAS, faithful, devoted and capable employees enable municipal governmental agencies to well respond to the citizens' needs in providing service; and WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation has been truly fortunate to have the capable, devoted and high level of service of jacqueline Sanford for twenty-two (22) years as a Library Assistant at the West Orange Library; and WHEREAS, she was first employed at the West Orange Library on june 1, 1961, and she will be retiring as Library Assistant II on June 7, 1983; and WHEREAS, she has been a valuable asset to the library in all aspects of the circulation functions; and WHEREAS, she has spent many long hours representing the City of South San Francisco on the Peninsula Library System Circulation Committee; and WHEREAS, upon entry into the Peninsula Library System, she was respon- sible for all the billing as pertains to South San Francisco's participation in said system; and WHEREAS, Jackie, as she has been affectionately called, has been especially loved by the patrons of the West Orange Library for her graciousness and patience with the public and particularly noted and appreciated for her rare sense of Irish humor; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to commend her for her services and by this resolution permanently record an expression of appreciation for her contributions ensuring a high level of municipal service provided to this community. -1- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby commend Jacqueline Sanford for her many contributions to library service in this City and the enlightment of citizens of this community and does by this resolution permanently record this expresssion of appreciation. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of April 1983, by the following vote: AYES: NOES- ABSENT: Councilmembers Mark N.
