CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
~qENDMENT NO. 2 TO "AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR PROVISION OF
MANAGEMENT SERVICES OF THE SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO LIBRARY," AS AMENDED
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that;
1. Execution of Agreement.
Execution of an Agreement entitled "Amendment No. 2 to Agreement between
the City of South San Francisco and the County of San Mateo for provision of
Management Services of the South San Francisco Library," as amended, by Agreement
between the City of South San Francisco and the County of San Mateo is hereby
· .
authorized, and a copy of said Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit %."
2. Signatures.
The City Manager is authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of
the City, and the City Clerk attest to his signature thereto.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 20th day of April , 1983 , by the following vote:

and Roberta Cerri Teglia

AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO "AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE COUNTY
OF SAN MATEO' FOR PROVISION OF MANAGEMENT
SERVICES'TO'THE SOUTH SAN'FRANCISCO'LIBRARY"
THIS AMENDMENT NO. 2, made and entered into as of th~" '~t'~ day of
April , 1983, by and between the City of SOuth San Francisco, a municipal ~-"
corporation (hereinafter "City") and' the COunty of San ~tateo, a political sub-
division of the State of California (hereinafter "County"):
WITNESSETH
.
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have hereto'fore entered into 6n agreement,.
dated March 10, 1981, relati.ng to the provision of management support for the
South San Francisco Library; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement was modified by Resolution No, 45-82 on April 21,
1982; and
WHEREAS, representatives of the partie's to said Agreement have 'reviewed
said A§r~ement, as modified, and have .agreed upon certain cha.nges in the provisions

thereof which are to be effective on the date first-written above; and
WHEREAS, the public convenience and necessity will be served thereby;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED THAT:
1. Paragraphs 1 and 6 of the "Agreement Between the City of South San
Francisco and the County of San Mate° for Provision of Management Services of
the South San Francisco Library," which Agreement was entered into on ~iarc~ 10, -
1981, and modified by mutual agreement of the parties on April 21, 1982, and
hereby amended to read as 'follows:
"1. Terms of Agreement. County agrees to furnish management
staff and consultant resources on a month to month basis. The
Agreement may be terminated only on the giving of thirty (3-0)
days written notice by either party to the other party."
"6. Compensation for Services. As a County employee, the

assigned L~brar~an shall be compensated at the rate of $2,470.21
per month plus benefits adjusted, as appropriate, for any nego-
tiated salary cost of living increase(s), merit increase(s)
received during the life of the Agreement, and/or change in the
cost of the benefit package provided by the County."
2. The changes provided herein shall be ~ffeCtive as of the date first

2. The parties hereto hereby 'agree'.that, except as provided herein, all
of t. he provisions of. said Agreement for management services, dated March I0, 1981,
as amended, shall continue unchanged and shall remain in full force and effect.'
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Amendment No. 2 to
Agreement on the date first written above~
