A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT (COMMON GREENS
MAINTENANCE IN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO)
that:
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
1. Execution.
Execution of the Extension of Agreement for Maintenance of Certain
Common Greens Located in the City of South San Francisco between the City
of South San Francisco and Environmental Care, Inc., a copy of which is
attached hereto as Exhibit "1," is hereby authorized.
2. Signature.
The City Manager is authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf
of the City and the City Clerk to attest his signature thereto.
3. Endorsement.
The City Clerk is authorized to endorse on the face of the Agreement
dated July 2, 1980, the followibg' "Agreement extended. See Extension Agree-
ment dated the 27th day of Jul~/ , 19 83 , and Resolution No. 92-83
adopted the 27th day of July , 19 83 .,,

EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT FOR
MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN COMMON
GREENS LOCATED IN TH.E CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
THIS EXTENSION AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of this 27th
day of July , 1983, between the CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, a
municipal corporation (hereinafter called "citY"), and Environmental Care,
Inc., a California corporation (hereinafter called "Contractor").
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, City and Contractor's predeccesor in interest entered into
an Agreement for the maintenance of certain common greens located in South San
Francisco on the 2nd day of July, 1980, for the period July 2, 1980 through
June 30, 1983 (hereinafter the "Agreement") with an option in the City to extend
the contract for a period of One (1) year upon mutual agreement of both parties;
and
WHEREAS, Contractor's predecessor in interest, Green Valley Landscaping,
Inc., has assigned its interest in the Agreement to Contractor; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to so extend said contract on the terms
and conditions hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE AFOREGOING PREMISES AND THE
MUTUAL COVENANTS HEREINAFTER CONTAINED, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Agreement for Maintenance of Certain Common Greens located in
South San Francisco entered into as of July 2, 1980, is hereby extended for
a period of one (1) year from July 1, 1983, to and including June 30, 1984.
2. Level of Services. City shall have the right to require up to
a fifty percent (50%) reduction in contract services within three i(3) months
from and after July 1, 1983, and to negotiate a new contract price based on
any such reduction in level of services.
3. Prevailing Wa.qe Determination. The parties accept the general
prevailing wage determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations
pursuant to California Labor Code Part 7, Chapter l, Article 2, Sections
1770, 1773 and 1773.1, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement
as of the day and year first above written.
