HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 96-1983RESOLUTION '96~R3 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1982-83 APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII B OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION WHEREAS, Article XIII B of the California Consitution states that all State and local government budgets are limited to a formula based upon the 1978-79 budget, plus adjustments for cost of living and population changes and specific exceptions for service charges, Federal and State grants, reserve funds, etc.; and WHEREAS, Division 9 of Title 1 of the Government Code (beginning with Section 7900) implements Artcile XIII B of the California Constitution; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the above, the City of South San Francisco has prepared documentation establishing its 1982-83 appropriation limit and has made this documentation available to the public for more that fifteen (15) days; NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows: 1. For 1982-83, the City's appropriation limit is $28,448,424. 2. The Adopted Budget for 1982-83 includes $18,944,602 in appropriations which are subject to limit, and estimated proceeds of taxes of $13,754,234. 3. For 1982-83, the City of South San Francisco is within the limits of Article XIII B of the California Constitution.
