CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE DATE OF THE MUNICIPAL
ELECTION FOR 1983, ORDERING THE PUBLICATION OF A
NOTICE OF ELECTION AS REQUIRED BY THE ELECTIONS
CODE AND ESTABLISHING THE HOURS DURING WHICH THE
POLLS SHALL BE OPEN AND A MEASURE TO RAISE THE
COMPENSATION OF CITY COUNCILMEMBERS OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that the Municipal Election of the City of South San Francisco shall, in accor-
dance with the Elections and Government Codes of the State of California, be
held on the 8th day of November, 1983, for the following offices:
City Councilmember, City of South San Francisco - full term
City Councilmember, City of South San Francisco - full term
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following measure is to be voted on at
the Municipal Election to be held in the City of South San Francisco, the 8th
day of November, 1983:
MEASURE
SHALL THE ORDINANCE RAISING CITY COUNCIL
SALARIES FROM THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300)
PER MONTH TO FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO
DOLLARS ($422) PER MONTH BE ADOPTED?
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the hours during which the polls shall be
open shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the City Clerk and other officers
shall give the required notices as set forth in the Elections and Government
Codes of the State of California and attached herein as Exhibit A.

NOTICE OF ELECTION
IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election
will be held in the City of South San Francisco,
County of San Mateo, State of California, on
Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 1983, at which
election the following offices are to be filled and
for the purpose of submitting to the qualified
voters of said City the following measure:
Member of the City Council -- full term
Member of the City Council -- full term
MEASURE
"Shall the Ordinance raising City Council salaries
from three hundred dollars ($300) per month to four
hundred twenty-two dollars ($422) per month be
adopted?"
The POLLS shall be opened at 7:00 a.m. and shall be
kept open until 8:00 p.m. of said day when the polls
shall be closed, except as otherwise provided in
Section 14301 of the Elections Code.
ARGUMENTS in support of the measure shall be filed
with the City Clerk on or before August 25, 1983
and REBUTTAL ARGUMENTS shall be filed with the City
Clerk on or before September 6, 1983.

POR LA PRESENTE SE AVISA que el Martes, 8 de Noviembre de 1983
se celebrar~ una Elecci6n General Municipal en la Ciudad de
South San Francisco, Condado de San Mateo, Estado de California,
en la cual se cubrlran los siguientes cargos y se someter~ a los
votantes calificados de dicha Ciudad la medida siguiente~

MEDIDA
"6Debe adoptarse la Ordenanza que aumenta los salarios del Concejo
Municipal de trescientos d61ares ($300) mensuales a cuatrocientos
veintidos d61ares ($422) mensuales?"
Los LUGARES DE VOTACION se abrir~n a las 7 de la manana y se
mantendr~n abiertos hasta las 8 de la noche del mismo d~a en que
se cerraran, excepto que se disponga otra cosa de acuerdo con la
Secci6n 14301 del C6digo de Elecciones.
Los ARGUMENTOS en favor de la medida podr~n presentarse ante el
Secretario de la Ciudad hasta el d~a 25 de agosto de 1983 inclusive,
y los ARGUMENTOS DE REFUTACI~N podr~n presentarse ante el
Secretario de la Ciudad hasta el d~a 6 de septiembre de 1983
inclusive.

Condado de San Mateo, Estado de California, en la Reuni6n Regular
