HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 114-1983 RESOLUTION N0114-83 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF MOON YOU HOM (dba WHITE AND RED CAB COMPANY) TO OPERATE A COMMERCIAL PASSENGER VEHICLE WHEREAS, application has been made by Moon You Hom (dba White and Red Cab Company) for a Commercial Passenger Vehicle Permit; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 6.72 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code, this Council has considered said application and the information contained in the Staff Report from the City Manager dated August 17, 1983 and further matters presented orally at this Council's Regular Meeting of that same date; and WHEREAS, Moon You Hom has proposed to operate one taxicab in the City without a fixed place of business in South San Francisco and has not demonstrated any need for added or improved taxi cab service within the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that: 1. The City Council finds that there is insufficient public need or demand for the proposed opeartion of a commercial passenger vehicle as set forth in the Application of Moon You Hom (dba White and Red Cab Company)(hereinafter "Application"). 2. The City Council finds that the service proposed in the ApPlication con- stitutes an inadequate level of taxicab service in South San Francisco. 3. The Application is hereby denied. I hereby certify that the fore§oing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of August , 1983, by the following vote: AYES' NOES' ABSENT' Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addiego, Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia None Councilmember Emanuele N. Damonte
