HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 176-1983 RESOLUTION NO. 176-83 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MITCHELL J. MARSZALEC WHEREAS, Mitchell J. Marszalec is retiring on December 29, 1983 after twenty-three (23) years of service with the City of South San Francisco in the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, he was first employed as a Maintenance Man on September 28, 1960, and was promoted to Maintenance Worker III on February 1, 1966 and again to his present position as a Maintenance Worker I'V on January 1, 1978; and WHEREAS, as a dedicated employee, Mitchell J. Marszalec has demonstrated his patience and skills in teaching fellow employees; and WHEREAS, he is a member of the Departmental Safety Committee for the Street Department and is also a member of St. Veronica's Parish in South San Francisco; and WHEREAS, Mitchell J. Marszalec, who originally hails from Detroit, Michigan, is a sports fan, interested in fishing, and hopes to remain active in his retire- ment pursuing his favorite hobbies; and WHEREAS, he has contributed to the welfare of this community through his employment at the Street Department, and the City Council desires to express appreciation to him for his services, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby express its appreciation to Mitchell J. Marszalec for his dedicated services to the City of South San Francisco and does order this resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's appreciation and its wishes for his long and happy retirement.
