HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 9-1984 RESOLUTION NO. 9-84 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING BILL LINICH WHEREAS, Bill Linich, after serving twenty-six (£6) years as a Firefighter/ Engineer with the South San Francisco Fire Department, retired on December 1983; and WHEREAS, his fellow employees have considered him as a source of good infor- mation, always willing to volunteer his ideas and services; and WHEREAS, Bill Linich, in devoting his time to the City, has contributed to the high morale of the South San Francisco Fire Department; and WHEREAS, he attended City College of San Francisco for one and one-half years specializing in Fire Science courses; and WHEREAS, he is a member of the Fire Fighter Local #1507 and President of the Widows & Orphans Association; and WHEREAS, he has helped to protect the City of South San Francisco for twenty-six (26) years and his dedication to justice, fairness and high morals are in the highest tradition of the Fire Department; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it does hereby express appreciation to Bill Linich for his dedi- cated services to the City of South San Francisco and does order this Resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's expression and its wishes for his long and happy retirement. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25thday of January , 1984~ by the following vote~ AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
