HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 16-1984 RESOLUTION NO. 16-84 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE ANNEXATION OF THE LANDS OF POLETTI PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL ORGANIZATION ACT OF 1977 (COMMENCING WITH SECTION 35000 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE) WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo (LAFCO) adopted its Resolution No. 690 on January 18, 1984, making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of South San Francisco of the territory described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorp- orated herein (the "Property"); and WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings regarding said annexation were commenced upon the written request of Louis J. Poletti; and WHEREAS, the Petition requesting annexation of the Property was signed by the owners of 100% of the Property to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the distinctive short form designation assigned by LAFCO to the territory to be annexed is: Annexation of the Lands of Poletti to the City of South San Francisco (0.58AC); and WHEREAS, the area to be annexed consists of 0.58~ acres; and WHEREAS, LAFCO has determined that the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited; and WHEREAS, LAFCO has authorized annexation by the City of South San Francisco to be undertaken without an election and without notice and hearing, pursuant to Government Code Section 35151; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francico that: 1. This Council hereby finds that, with respect to the proposed annexa- tion of the territory described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto under the short term designation "Annexation of the Lands of Poletti to the City of South San Francisco (0.58AC)," all of the land owners within such territory have consented in writing to such annexation. 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 35234 this Council hereby orders the territory described in Exhibit "A" to be annexed to the City of South San Francisco. All land and'improvements within said territory shall be liable for the general indebtedness of the City existing at the time of annexation. 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution along with a remittance to cover the fees required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo.
