HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 27-1984that: RESOLUTION NO. 27-84 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR PRO- FESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR GATEWAY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT ST-8'~-2' BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco 1. Execution of Agreement. Execution of an Agreement entitled "First Amendment to Agreement for Professional Engineering Services for The Gateway Assessment District" between the City of South San Francisco and Wilsey & Ham is hereby authorized, and a copy of said Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "1." 2. Signatures. The Mayor is authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of the City, and the City Clerk attest his signature thereto.. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Te.qlia None None ATTEST' /~~Ci ~y C~i e rk~~_~ (13) Perform special investigative studies and provide cost estimates as relates to the potential modification of specified roadway reconstruction on Oyster Point Boulevard to determine the cost effectiveness of minimizing reconstruction on the North side of this street. 3. Under "Phase 4: Construction Management", add the following: (5) During the course of construction work, provide on-site observation and monitoring and support engineering and survey services and coordination to identify and mitigate any encountered special contaminated or hazardous materials on the Gateway Assessment District site or affected adjacent City streets in accordance with constraints imposed by State ac Federal regulatory agencies. Add the following to Exhibit "A" Scope of Services": Phase 5: Preliminary Engineering and Survey Services for Gateway' Boulevard Extension. (l) Provide, as apPlicable the services specified under Phase I for the .proposed extension of Gateway Boulevard from East Grand Avenue, southward to South Airport Boulevard. SECTION 2. AMENDED COMPENSATION Section 6. Compensation under the Basic Agreement is hereby amended as follows: As'compensation for performance of all the services described for Phases I, 2, 3, t~, and 5 in Exhibit A as amended herein, the CITY agrees to pay the CONSULTANT on a time 'and materials basis up to a maximum limit as indicated, below in accordance with Exhibit B, CONSULTANT'S Standard Fee Schedule. The maximum compensation to be paid CONSULTANT under this First Amendment to Agreement is h.e. reby increased from $1,118,210 to $I,~20,320 representing, an increased compensation of $302,110 to account for additional services to be performed by CONSULTANT as described in Exhibits D and'E attached hereto and made a part 'of this Amended Agreement. CITY and CONSULTANT agree that said attached CONSULTANT'S Standard Fee Schedule shall be 'effective-through December 31, 1984 and may be amended annually thereafter. PERSONNEL SERVICES I. 2.2-times salary cost. Salary cost is defined as total hours worked times the employee's straight-time rate of pay on an hourly basis plus 37% allowance for payroll taxes and other-employee benefits. All time spent in connection with the order by executive, professional, subprofessional, technical, and clerical employees will be included. The current billings rates is attached herewith as Exhibit C. 2. overtime premium (overtime hours worked times the difference between overtime and straight-time pay rates). B. TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES Reimbursement for actual travel and subsistence expenses paid to or on behalf of employees on business connected with the Project, plUs a serviCe charge of 10%. 0 Thirty-five cents (35¢) per mile for use of vehicles. A minimum of four dollars ($4.00) per hour will be charged for use of vehicles carrying field survey equipment or used for field inspection and supervision. C. OUTSIDE SERVICES I. Invoice cost of services and expenses charged to CONSULTANT by outside c0nsul.t?nts, professional, or technical firm~ engaged in connection with the Order, plus 15% overhead costs. D. MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES le The invoice cost of materials, supplies, reporduction work, and other services~ including communication expenses, procured by CONSULTANT from. outside sources, plus a service charge of 10%.
