CITY COUNCIL' CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION SETTING STANDARDS FOR
DETERMINATIONS MADE PURSUANT TO
SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO~ 942 AND
GIVING BLANKET APPROVAL OF DECISIONS
MADE IN COMPLIANCE WITH SAID STANDARDS
WHEREAS~, on January 25~ 1984', the City Council did adopt Ordinance No~' 942
as an urgency ordinance to protect landmarks~ during a period of time wherein
the City is drafting and considering certain General Plan and Zoning Amendments
to protect landmarks in the City; and
WHEREAS, Section 7 of Ordinance No~ 942 requires the City Council to approve
or disapprove the Director of Community Development's determination as to whether
or not certain buildings or structures for which building permits have been re-
requested may be altered or demolished; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to reduce permit processing time and the
attendant costs of administering this protective program;
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED~ by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that:
1'. All buildings or other structures constructed in South San Francisco after
January 1, 1948 are not landmarks', and permits for alteration or demolition of
said structures or buildings requested pursuant to Ordinance No~~ 942 shall be
approved ~pro forma by the Director of Community Development~
2~ Requests for alteration of structures or buildings in South San Francisco
which are requested pursuant to Ordinance No~~ 942 and which are limited to the
installation of solar panels or the reroofing of said buildings or structures
shall be approved pro forma by the Director of Community Development~
3~ All structures or buildings located in the areas of South San Francisco
indicated on Exhibit "A" attached hereto', regardless of age, are not landmarks,
and permits for alteration or demolition of said structures or buildings requested
pursuant to Ordinance No,~ 942 shall be approved pro forma by the Director of
Community Development~
4~ Determinations made by the Director of Community Development pursuant to
Section 7 of Ordinance No~~ 942 and in conformance with this Resolution are hereby
approved', whether made prior to the adoption of this Resolution or at any time
after said adoption but prior to the expiration date of Ordinance No~ 942, as
extended in accordance with Government Code Section 65858~
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the25th day of April ' 1984', by the following
vote'
