REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTIONS 3.06 AND 5.02
OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
BY-LAWS RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 804
designating itself to serve as the City's Redevelopment Agency;
and
WHEREAS, in 1980 the Redevelopment Agency adopted by-laws
to govern its operation; and
WHEREAS, the by-laws provide for the election of a
Chairman and Vice-Chairman; and
WHEREAS, historically the Mayor and Vice-Mayor have been
elected and served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Agency;
and
WHEREAS, the arrangement has worked smoothly and
efficiently over the years; and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to formalize the arrangement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency
of the City of South Francisco as follows:
SECTION 1 Section 3.06 of the South San Francisco
Redevelopment Agency By-Laws is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 3.06 Orqanization Meeting. The first Governing
Board may at any time, and each succeeding Board shall, on
a yearly basis within thirty (30) days after the regular
city elections, hold an organization meeting. The Mayor
of the city shall automatically serve as Chairman and the
Vice-Mayor as Vice-Chairman of the Agency unless the
Agency by a majority vote decides to elect different
officers. In addition, the Governing Board shall elect a
Secretary and may elect such subordinate officers as they
may determine, none of whom need be a member of the
Governing Board.
SECTION 2 Section 5.02 of the South San Francisco
Redevelopment Agency By-Laws is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 5.02 Term of Office. Each officer shall hold
office until his successor shall have been elected and
qualified, or he ceases to be a member of the City
Council.

regularly introduced and adopted by the Redevelopment Agency of
the City of South San Francisco at re§u]ar meeting held
on the 9th day of December , 1992 by the following
vote:
AYES: Boardmembers Jack Draao, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna.
Robert Yee, and Chairman Roberta Cerri Tealia
