HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 88-1984RESOLUTION 88-84 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1983-84 APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIIIB OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTIUTION WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the California Constiution states that all State and local government budgets are limited to a formula based upon the 1978-79 budget, plus adjustments for cost of living and population changes and specific exceptions for service charges, Federal and State grants, reserve funds, etc.; and WHEREAS, Division 9 of Title 1 of the Government Code (beginning with Section 7900) implements Article XIIIB of the California Constitution; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the above, the City of South San Francisco has prepared documentation establishing its 1983-84 appropriation limit and has made this documentation available to the public for more than fifteen (15) days; NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows: 1. For 1983-84, the City's appropriation limit is $29,210,864. 2. The adopted Budget for 1983-84 includes $21,100,630 in appropriations which are subject to limit, and estimated proceeds of taxes of $14,260,665. 3. For 1983-84, the City of South San Francisco is within the limits of Article XIIIB of the California Constitution. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a 27th day of June following vote- AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS NOES, COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT, COUNCIL MEMBERS regular meeting held this , 1984 by the Mark N.
