HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 110-1984RESOLUTION NO. 110-84 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION INCORPORATING AGREED UPON LANGUAGE IN ARTICLE 6, SECTION 3, I, PARAGRAPH 1 OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, UNITS #3 & 9 FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1984 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1985 WHEREAS, the City Council did, on April 25, 1984, accept and adopt the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of South San Francisco and the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees, Units 3 & 9 for the period January 1, 1984 through June 30, 1985 (hereina~fter the "MOU") as recommended; and WHEREAS, consistent with Council direction, it was agreed upon between the representative of the City and the representatives of Units 3 & 9 that there was to be no change from the former agreement in the amount of accumulated sick leave hours for which an eligible employee could receive payment upon separation; and WHEREAS, the MOU adopted by the City Council on April 25, 1984 did reduce accumulated sick leave hours due to a typographical error; and WHEREAS, the City and the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees are desirous of correcting the error in the language of Article 6, Section 3, I, Paragraph i of the MOU; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Article 6, Section 3, I, Paragraph 1 of the MOU is amended to read as.. fol 1 ows: "1. Number of Hours-Payable: An eligible employee shall receive payment for fity percent (50%) of the unused sick leave hours on record up to a maximum of one thousand two hundred (1200) hours of such recorded hours (maximum of 600 payable hours)." I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a r~o,Jlar meeting held on the2§ th day of July , 1984, by the fol 1 owing vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
