A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR THE POSITION
OF ASSISTANT ELECTRICIAN/MECHANIC, WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT
BY AMENDING THE UNIT #4 WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT EMPLOYEES'
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE' PERIOD SEPTEMBER 1, 1983

BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
the Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding with Unit #4 Water Quality Control
Plant Employees for the period September 1, 1983 through December 31, 1984, a copy
of which is attached as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference as
if set forth verbatim, is hereby accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized to
endorse on Page 1 of the signature page of said Memorandum of Understanding the
fol 1 owing:
"Approved by City Council Resolution No. 1.7'7-84
Adopted O~t. ober 24, 1 984"

TO RESOLUTION NO. 177-84
AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE UNIT #4 WATER QUALITY CONTROL
PLANT EMPLOYEES' FOR THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER 1, 1983 THROUGH
DECEMBER 31, 1984

l) The City .Council approval al'location of one (1) full-time, classified
position of Assistant Electrician/Mechanic, W.Q.C.P. during the budget
sessions.
2) On October 10, 1984, after properly posting notices to all interested
parties and affording them the opportunity to meet and' discuss the matter
with the City's Municipal Employee Relations Office, Unit #4 was modified
by Council Action to include the classification of'Assistant Electrician/
Mechanic, W.Q.C.P.
3) The Department of Engineering, Technical and Maintenance Services-has now
established the wage rate for the.Assistant Electrician/Mechanic position.
4) In Order to appropriately establish the salary for the position of Assistant
Electrician/Mechanic, W.Q.C.P. the representatives of .the City and the
representatives of Unit #4 have met and conferred and have agreed to amend
the Unit #4 Water Quality Control Plant Employees Memorandum of Understanding
for the period September 1., 1983 through December 31, 1984.
It is therefore agreed that the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of
South San Francisco and the Unit #4 Water Quality Control Plant Employees for
the period September 1, 1983 through December 31, 1984 shall be amended to in,
clude the following classification and salary rates on Page 1 of Appendix B:
Assistant Electrician/Mechanic, W.Q.C.P. (June 24, 1984)

The City and the Unit #4 Water Quality Control Plant Employees hereby agree to
the Amendments as expressly stated herein and except as herein modified, all
other provisions, terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding shall
remain in effect.
