A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO DESIGNATE A REDEVELOPMENT
SURVEY AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California
(Commencing at Section 33000 of the Health and Safety Code) provides authority
for the designation and description by resolution of a survey area; and
WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the Health and Safety Code specifically authorizes
the legislative body of a City by resolution to authorize the designation of a
survey area by resolution of the members of a Redevelopment Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is necessary that a survey area
be designated to study the feasibility of a Redevelopment Project in the
general area of the U. S. Steel plant parcel located east of Highway 101 in
South San Francisco;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that:
1. The City Council finds and determines that it is necessary and proper for
the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco to designate a survey
area in order to study the feasibility of a Redevelopment Project within said
area.
2. The City Council finds that it is necessary for the Redevelopment Agency
to designate an area which includes, but is not limited to, the U. S~. Steel
plant parcel located east of Highway 101 in the City of South San Francisco.
3. The Redevelopment Agency is hereby authorized to designate a survey area
by resolution, which area shall include, but not be limited to, the U. S. Steel
parcel located east of Highway 101 in the City of South San Francsico.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 24th day of October , 1984, by the following
vote'
