Home My WebLink AboutReso 186-1984 RESOLUTION NO. 186-84 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF EASEMENT AND FEE RIGHTS-OF-WAY FROM SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase certain easement and fee rights-of-way from the Southern Pacific Transportation Company in order to accommodate the East Grand Avenue Railroad Grade Separation project; and WHEREAS, negotiations have been concluded with Southern Pacific Transportation Company to obtain said fee and easement rights-of-way to accommodate the overpass structure and the Dubuque Avenue retaining wall, temporary construction and access easement and severance damages; and WHEREAS, the costs of acquiring said rights-of-way are as set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein as though set forth verbatim; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase easement and fee rights-of-way from Southern Pacific Transportation Company, which rights-of-way are described in Exhibit "A", previously incorporated herein, and to pay as consideration for said fee and easement rights-of-way the amounts set forth in said Exhibit "A". 2. The City Manager is appointed the City's agent for the purposes of the acqui- sition described herein, and is hereby authorized to sign any and all documents necessary to accomplish said purchases. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular- meeting held on the 28th day of November , 1984, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
