Whereas, we as a City Cotuacil believe that there should be uniformity in the arrangement
oi' buildings and structures in the residential section el' t~.e city of South San Francisco, and
that it should be the duty o:.~ our citizens and officials to lend every aid possible to see that
proper set back line'.~ are established and carried ~ut when any building or structure is to be
constructed in said district in s~id city.
Zow therefore, be it resolved by the Board of ~rustoes 'of t.e City oi' South San Francisco
that a set bac~: line oi' not le~s than fifteen i'eet i'ror~.~ the i'ront line el' any property witlain
tho said residential district el' said tity of Souti; San'~rancisco, be e: tablished ~s governing
the front line of the building or structure on said property.
All measure~.~ents shall be made 'i'rom the i'ront property li~e to the base el' vhe bui~di~g
or s-tructu~e, but where said buildi~g or structure has a porch occupying more than one third of
the front of said house, the measurement shall be taken from the front property line to said
porch; and when said building or structure is placed on a corner, regulation shall only apply
to the front of the building or structure and not to the sides;
Be it further resolved that copies ,~i' this resolution be fu~-nished the Building Inspector
el' the ~ity of South San Francisco and he be directed to issue permits in '~aid resident section,
subject to the regulation ~s herein provided;
