HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 50-1925RESOLUTIOE OF INTENTION REEOLYED, that the public interest and public convenience requires and that it is the in- tention of the Board o£ Trustees o£ the City o£ South San Francisco, County Gl' San i,lateo, State of Califor,~ia, to order the i'ollowing wore to be done in said City to-wit: ~ ' ° ~ali±'ornia, THAT, all that portion of the alley in Block 96, i,[ap of' South filed for record },,~arch, lat. 1892 in ¥ol. 2 oi~ L~aps at page 52, ~an i.[ateo County ?:ecords, des- cribed as follows: B_~'~.GIh,,.~II~'~, at the most l'~asterly co.~-ner of Lot, 1,. Block 96, in the above, mentioned map: running thenfe North 74°27~ West ~20 feet; thence at right angles North 15°3Z' East 20 feet; thence at right angles South 74o2?, East 520 feet~ thence at right angles South 15°33' West 20 feet to the point of 'beginning, being the easterly 320 feet of the above described alleY, bein~ the most easterly 320 feet of that certain alley which commences on the westerly side of ~Ja~nolia Avenue between Grand ~venue and Baden and runs westerly to the easterly line Gl' Orange Avenue between 5rand Avenue and Baden Avenue, be closed and vacated as. a public street or alley That said Board of Trustees does hereby determine and. declare that it is unnecessary to take auy land for the work of closing said portion of said hereinbefore mentioned alley smd it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the work of closing the hereinbefore mentioned and described part of said alley, All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of and in conformity with an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "An Act tO provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, lengthening or closing up in whole or in part any str,eet, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities, and to dondemn smd acquire any and all lands and property necessary or convenient for that purpose", approved i,larch 6, 1889, and the several Acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of South ,tan Franci~'co is hereby ordered smd directed to post notices o±' the passage of this Reso]ution of intention in the time, form, m~nner and number required by law, and he is also directed to cause to be published in the Ehterprise, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco, (there being no daily newspaper published or circulated therein) and hereby designated for that purpose -by said Board Gl' Trustees, a notice of the passage of laid )2esolution of Inten- tion similar in substance to the notices ordered posted as aforesaid, for the period required by law. And notice is hereby given that all persons interested and objecting to said work and improvements, may make written objection thereto in time, form and manner provided by the hereinbefore mentioned Act under which this work is carried on. Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San ~'rancisco, at a regzular meeting oi' said Board held on the 1st day oi' June, 1925, by the following vote: Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resulution, Trustees: Carl Blank, F.
