That the followii~g alleys in the 01ty of South San ~rancisco for the full length and width thereof, within the hereinafter mentioned lines and limits be graded in accorda~c.e with the plans, profiles and specifications hereinafter referred to, and to the grades shown on said plans and profiles which said plans and profiles are hereby expressly referred to for a description of the grades at which said work is to be done and that said alleys be further improved by constueting therein a cement concrete pavement five {5) inches in thickness in' accordance with the sai~ plans, profiles and specifications for the width and length between the lines and limits hereinafter mentioned, and on the grades as shown on said plans, profiles and specifications,~ the portions of said alleys to be improved being designated as follows: That portion of the alley between Baden Avenue an~ Grand Avenue and included between the easterly line of Eucalyptus Avenue and the westerly line of Acacia Avenue; That portion of the alley between Grand lye. and Miller Ave., and included between the easterly line of Acacia Ave. an~ a line drawn at right angles to the center line of said alley at a point dis- tent 360 feet easterly fr~n the easterly line of Orange Ave., but excluding'therefrom the intersections thereof with Qrange Ave., That portion o,f the alley, between Miller. Ave. and Lux Ave. and include~ b~tween .the easterly line of Spruce Ave. and the westerly line of Maple Ave., but excluding therefrom the intersection thereof with Walnut Ave,, That portion of the alley between Miller Ave. and Lux Ave. and included between the easterly line of Linden Ave. and the westerly line of Cypress Ave., That portion of-the alley between Lu~ Ave, and California Ave. and inclu/ied between the easterly line of Maple Ave. and the westerly line of Linden Ave., That portion of the alley between Maple Ave, and Olive Ave, and included between the northerly line of California Ave. and the southwesterly line of Olive Ave., but excluding therefrom the inter. sections thereof with 2ins Ave. and Aspen Ave., That portion of the alley between Olive Ave. and Linden Ave. and .included between the northerly line of Pine Ave. and the southerly line of Armour Ave., but excluding therefrom the intersection thereof with Aspen Ave., That portion of the alley between California Ave., and Pine Ave. and included between'the easter- ly line of Linden Ave,~- and the westerly line of. Cypress Ave., That portion, of the alley between Pine Ave. and Aspen Ave. and included between the easterly line of Linden Ave, and the westerly line of Cypress Ave., That the two alleys which traverse through Block 133 as said alieys and block are shown upon that certain map entitled, "Plat of Buckingham Subdivision of Block 133", filed for record April 1, in Book C of Original Maps at page 27, San Mateo CoUnty Records. One alley is included between the easterly line of Linden Ave. and the westerly line of the second alley which adjoins the rear of lots 48 to 62 inclusive of said Block 133 of said map, the second alley is included between the northerly line of JUniper Ave. and the southerly line of Armour Ave. and adjoins the rear. of said lots 46 to inclusive, Block 133 of said map, Section 2. Also that the following avenues in said city, to-w'-,~t: That portion of Acacia Ave. lying between the northerly line of Baden Ave. and the Southerly line of Grand AVe. including all intersections, and that portion of Locust Ave. lying between the northerly line of Grand Ave. and the southerly line of Miller Ave. be graded in accordance with the plans,profiles and specifications hereinafter referred to and to the grades shown on said plans, profiles and specifi-' cations which sai/[ plans, profiles, and specifications are hereby expressly referred to for a descrip- tion of the grades at which said work is to ~e done and ~hat said portion of Acacia Ave. be further ira-' proved by constructing on both sides thereof cement concrete sidewalks and combination cement concrete curbs and gutters on the grades, of the dimensions, and at the particular locations shown upon the said plans, profiles and specifications hereinafter referred to and:by constructing, therein from gutter line to gutter line, an asphaltic concrete pavement consisting of a cement concrete base four (4) inches in thickness and an asphaltic concrete wearing surface one and one-half (1~) inches in thickness, in accor- dance with the plans and profiles and specifications hereinafter referred to; Excepting from all of the herein described work, all of said work that has already been done to th~ lines and grades as shown on the plans and profiles, and in accordance with said plans and specifications. Ail of the said work shall be done to the lines and grades as shown on the plans and profiles, and in accordance with the plans and work by said Board of Trustees and now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. Ail of said work done hereunder shall include any and all street intersections, terminations, and opposite terminations occurring within the limits of the work hereinbefore mentioned, but no work shall be construed as a doubling at any intersection: Ali]) W~m. Ail of said property being in the City of South San ~rsncisco, County of San Marco, State of California. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and bear interest at the rate of sever per cent per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improve- ment Bond Act of 1915", the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine years from the second day of ,;uly next succeeding ten months from their date. That the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco does hereby reject all of said bids, except the herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for said work to the lowest regular responsible bidder, to-wit: to GEO. W. CUSHING, at the prices specified in his proposal on file for said work: Item A: Grading at 60~ per cubic yard; Item B: 5" concrete pavement complete at 19.~ per square foot; Item C: 4" concrete base pavement with 1½" asphaltic concrete top complete at 24¢ per ~square foot; Item D: ~" cement concrete sidewalk complete at 16~ per square foot; Item E: Combined cement concrete curb and gutter at 85~ per lineal foot. The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post his award of contract conspicuously for five days on or near the chamber door of the Board of Trustees of said City, and published for two weekly publication in "The Enterprise" as required by law. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco on the 6th day of July 1925 by the following vote: AYES: TRUSTEES, Blank, McCaffrey ~ McNellis.
