WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco, County of San
Mateo, Sts~te of C~lifornia, did on the 1st, day of June, 19£5, pass ahd adopt resolution of
Intention No. , to order the following work to be done and improvements to be made in the
said City of South San Francisco, to-wit:
That all that portion of alley in Block 96, ~,~ao of South San Francisco,
California, filed for record March 1, 1892, in Vol. £ of ~aps at page
§£, San Mateo Count.w Records, described as follows:
BEGIi~NING at the most easterly corner ~f Lot l, Block 96, in the above
mentioned map: running thsnce l~orth ?~27' West ~0 feet: thence.at
right angles l~orth 15° ~' East 20 feet: thence at right angles South
?4o ~7' East 5£0 feet: thence at right angles South l~° S~' West 20 feet
to the point of beginning, being the easterly ~£0 feet of the above des-
cribed alley, being the most easterly ~£0 feet of that certain alley which
commences on the westerly side of l~agnolia Avenue between Grand Avenue
and Baden ~venue and runs westerly to the easterly line of Orange Avenue
between Grand Avenue and Baden Avenue, be closed and vacated as a public
street or alley.
WHEREAS, the said Board of Trustees of the said City of South San ~¥ancisco, did
in said resolution determine and declare it to be unnecessary to take any land for the work
of closing and vacating said portion of said hereinbefore mentioned alley and did determine
and declare it unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the work of closing and va2
cating~ the hereinbefore mentioned and described part of said alley: and
WHEREAS, the said Board of Trustees of said City of South San ~rancisco did direct
in said resolution that the work of closing and abandoning said oortion of said hereinbefore
mentioned alley be done in conformity with au Act of the LegislatUre of the State of Califor-
nia, entitled: "An act to provide for layinm out, openinK, e×tending, widening, lengthening
or closing up in whole or in part any street, square, lane, alley, court or place within m~uui-
cipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all lands and property necessary or convenient
for that purpose", approved ~,~arch 6, 1889, and the several kc~s amenda~ory thereof or supple-
mental thereto, and did direct the superintendent of the streets of the City of South San Fran-
cisco to post notices of the passage of said resolution of intention in the time, form, manner
and n~umber required by law, which Was done on the day of , 19£~, as appears by an
affidavit on file with said Board and did direct said superintendent of streets to cause to be
published in the Enterprise, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of South
San Frsncisco, (there being no daily newspaper published or circulated therein), a similar no-
tice for the time and in the form and manner as required by law, the first publication of which
was had in said newspaper on the day of , 19£5: and which was followed by three successive
weekly insertions as appears by an affidavit on file with said Board of Trustees: and
WHEREAS. more than ten da.ws have expired after the last publication of said notice, and
no person has filed an ob.iection to the closing and vacating el' said portion of said hereinbefore
mentioned alley, and
WHEREAS, it appears to the said Board of Trustees of said City of South San Francisco,
that said portion of said hereinbefore mentioned alley protrudes into and abutts upon property
of the South San Francisco Elementary School District, and is needed by said South San Frs~ncisco
Elementary School District for schoo~ purposes, and that there is no public need or requirement
that said property should be further used as a public street or alley and public interest and con-
venience requires that said property should be closed and vacated as a public street or alley and
allowed to revert to said South San Francisco Elementary School District:

be and it is hereby closed and vacated as a public street or alley or portion thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said property be allowed to revert to the South San Fran-
cisco Elementary School District.
PASSED and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco, at a
regular meeting of said Board held on the 8rd day of August, 19£~, by the following vote:

commences on the westerly' side of Magnolia Avenue between Grand Avenue
and Baden ~venue ~nd runs westerly to the e~sterly line of Or~nge Avenue
between Grand ~venue and Baden Avenue, be closed and vacated as a p~blic
street or alley.
WHEREAS, the said Board of Trustees of the said City of South San ~rancisco, did

that said property should be further used as a public street or alley and public interest and con-
venience requires that said property should be closed and vacated as a public street or alley and
allowed to revert to said South San Francisco Elementary School District~
NOW, ~EP~O~, BE IT HESOLVED: That said portion of said alley hereinbefore described
be and it is hereby closed and vacated as a public street or alley or portion thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said property be allowed to revert to the South San Fran-
cisco Elementary School District.
