CITY OF SOUTH SAN I~ANCI~O Resolve~ by the Board of Trustees of the 0ity of South San ~rancisoo, a municipal corporation in th, 0ounty of San Mateo. State of California, that public interest and convenience require end that it is the intention of said Board of Trusteew to order the following street work to be done in said city, to-wit: ~ That that', portion of 0ommercial Avenue between the east line of Linden Avenue and the west lin~ of San Bruno Road and that portion of 0ypress Avenue between the north line of 0ommercial Avenue a~M the south line ef the alley in block numbered one hundr~ forty-one (141), produced' east'~rly across 0ypress Avenue, as shown upon ~h~t certain map entitled "South 8an ~rancisco, Ss~ Mateo County,. 0alifornia, Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, California, March 1st, 18~, and recorded in Map Book No. Z at page §2, be vacated and closed up in whole.~ -- That it i~ unneces~art to take ~y land therefor,. That the .following described district of land is hereby declared to be the district ~f~ected ~nd benefitted by said work ~nd to. be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof and that said district is situated in the City of South San ~ancisco, 0ounty of San Mateo, Sta~e of Califo~'nia, and the exterior boundaries thereof are particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the point formed by the intersection of the easterly-line of Linden Av~ue with the southerly line of said alley in said block numbered one hundred forty-one (141) and running ~hence southerly along the easterly line of Linden Avenue to a point in said easterly line of Lin- den Avenue which is one huh~red twenty (120) feet southerly from-the point formed by the intersec- tion of the southerly line of Oommercial Avenue with the easterly line of Linden Avenue; thence easterly and parallel w~th the southerly line of Commercial Avenue to the westerly line of San. Bruno Road; thence northerly along the westerly line of San Bruno to a point ih said westerly line of San Bruno Road where the southerly line of said alley in said block numbered' one hundred forty- one (141) won/d, if produced easterly, interesect said westerly line of San Bruno Road; thence westerly along the ~outherly line of said alley in said block numbered one hundred forty-criB (141) produced easterly, to the point of beginning. Ail of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An act to provide for layin~ out, opening, ~'extending, widening, straightening or closing up, in whole or in part, any street, square, lane, alley, court, or place within municipalities, and to condemn ~nd acquire any and all land and property necessary or con- venient for that purpose"~ , approved. March 6, 1889, and the several ~cts amendatory thereof or sup- plemental thereto. The street superintendent is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or improvement notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and form required by law. Said street superintendent is l~kew~se directed also to cause a notice simi- lar in substance to be published by four (4) successive insertiqns in "The Enterprise", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of South San Fr~n'cisco, and by four (4) successive insertions in "The.
