REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE PRICE COMPANY AND THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AND APPROVING BUDGET
AMENDMENT 94-1 RELATING TO THE CONTAMINATED
SOILS CLEAN-UP ON THE PRICE CLUB PROPERTIES
LOCATED AT 451 & 479 SOUTH AIRPORT BLVD
WHEREAS, following expansion of the Price Club's facility at
451 South Airport Boulevard, non-hazardous contaminated soil
containing organics and hydrocarbons was removed from the store
site AT 451 South Airport Boulevard and located across the street
at 479 South Airport Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, rather than pursue litigation as a means to resolve
the issue of clean-up responsibility, the City and Price Club have
agreed to provide for sharing responsibility by entering into an
Agreement. A copy of the Agreement is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, at the time the 1993-94 Agency budget was approved
this particular project was not anticipated; and
WHEREAS, in order to fund the City's portion of the
contaminated soils clean-up it is necessary for the Agency to
approve a budget amendment in the amount of $50,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco that:
1. It hereby adopts this budget amendment to appropriate
$50,000 from the undesignated fund balance of the Downtown Central
Redevelopment Project Area to the Project Area Operating Budget.
2. The City Manager, on behalf of the City of South San
Francisco, is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
South San Francisco at a re.qu]ar meeting held on the 9th
day of March , 1994 by the following vote:
AYES: Boardmembers John R. Penna, Roberta Cerri Teqlia,
Robert Yee and Chairman Joseph A. Fernekes
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: B0ardmember Jack Drag0
