GENERAL ELECTION A PROPOSITION TO BE SUBMITTED
TO~
~H~ VOTE OF THE PEOPLE.
BE it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco, Count~
of San Nateo, State of California,that there be placed on the ballot to be used in the General
Election to be held in said City on the LEth d~y of April 19~8, a proposition which said Board of T~
Trustees desires an e~pression of popular vote thereon,to-wit
An e~pression of popular opinion on the ~uestion of purchasing the w~ter works of the
South San Francisco Water Company, by this City .
The City Clerk i~ hereby directe~ to place s~id proposition on the b~lot to be used ~t sai~
election in the following form,to-wit:
PRD~0SITION ~
Do you favor the City of South San Francisco purchasing the water works and distribution
plants of the South San Francisco Water Company if the same can be purchased at a'fair price?
Opposite proposition one there shall be placed two squares. The top square to include
the word" yes "and the lower square to include the word" No". said words to be placed on the left
side of each square respectively. All voters voting on said proposit~on shall vote as follows:
Those in favor of said propostion shall stamp a cross (x) in the ~o~!ng square after the we
"yes "and those not in favor of said proposition shall stamp a cross after the wo~d "no"
The City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to place the necessary instructions to v
voters on said ballot and said City Clerk is further instructed and directed to secure data ~nd
informationof General Election relative to proposit~on one for the pn~pose of disseminating %~
said ~nformation and data to any and all interested voters. ~or the purpose of such disseminating
the City Clerk is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $100.00 Dollars, to be used in the
gathering and collecting of data and information compiling the same and piling the same and
distributing the same to [~ny or all voters.

Ihereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and ado~ted by the
Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco this 1st day of March. 1926

An agreement was received from the ~,larket Street Railway Company granting the
City of South San Francisco an easement or right of way to cross their tracks at Third Szreet and
Orange Avenue, Town of Baden for the purpose of constructing and nataining a road, highway or street
