REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO WHEREIN THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY WILL REIMBURSE THE
CITY AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $800,000 FOR
SEISMIC RETROFIT OF THE GRAND AVENUE LIBRARY BUILDING
WHEREAS, an engineering analysis of the Grand Avenue library
building has found that the library building is an unreinforced
masonry structure in need of seismic retrofit work; and
WHEREAS, the Grand Avenue library building is within the
redevelopment project area, and the South San Francisco
Redevelopment Agency, pursuant to Health and Safety Code section
33420.1, is authorized to use tax increment funds for seismic
retrofit for unreinforced masonry buildings and for historic
buildings; and
WHEREAS, an engineering analysis of the Grand Avenue library
building has indicated that the seismic retrofit work is estimated
to cost approximately $800,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco;
1. It hereby approves the Agreement attached hereto between
the City of South San Francisco and the Redevelopment Agency of
South San Francisco to provide a maximum of $800,000 in tax
increment funds to use for seismic retrofit activities at the Grand
Avenue library building in South San Francisco.
2. The Executive Director on behalf of the Redevelopment
Agency of South San Francisco, is hereby authorized to execute said
Agreement.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco at a reqular meeting held on
the 22ndday of June , 1994, by the following called vote:
AYES: Redevelopment Agency Members Jack Drago, John R. Penna,
Roberta Cerri Te.qlia, Robert Yee and Mayor Joseph A. Fernekes
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: N0ne
ABSENT: None
