Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that public interest and convience require that the following work shall be done in skid City,to-wit: The cleaning of all paved streets ,alleys, culverts and catch basiz~s within said City All of said street cleaning work sh~ll be dane in accordance with the specifications theref fore on file in the office of the City Clerk of said ~ity and ~hich specifications are hereby adopted for doing s~id work. The~City Clerk is directed to publish for two ~EI weeks in"~he Enterprlse",a newspaper of general circulation~printed ~nd Published in s~id City of South San Francisco the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids~ for street work in the City of South Sa~ Francisco. NOTICE FOR INVITING SEAI~D PROPOSALS FOR STR~ET C~EANING WORK IH THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco until ?:Z0 o'clock P.M. on Monda~ the ?th day of June,1926,for doing the following work in the City of South San Francisco,County of San Mateo,State of California. Cleaning of paved streets,paved alleys, culverts and catch basins within the City of South San Francisco,for the period of one ~X) year. All said street cleaniSg.work must be dane in strict compliance with the specifications adopted by said Board of Trustees on the ~rd day of May 192S,and now on file in the office of the City Clerk. The successfull bidder shall within five I~) days after the award enter into a contract w with the City of South S~n Francis~co for the faithful performance of the work to be done under s~id a award. The bidder to whom is awarded 'the contract will be requi~ed to execute a bond for the Faith ful performanc~ of his work in an amount eqU~l to ~wenty-fivelY~) p~r~cent~ of the ~mount of his under t~.king, with ~ least two rosponsible sureties in he full amount of the bid each: ~nd will also be required before entering upon the work to furnish a good and sufficient bond ~s required by an act of the Legislature of the State of C~lifornia, approved May 10.th,19~$, entitled "An Act to secure t the payment of the claimsof persons who furnishe~aterials,supplies,teams,implements or machinery us&d or consu~ed by such oontractor~ in the performance of such worka,and prescribing the duties o~ certai public officers with reference thereto," and will also be required to exhibit to said Board of Truste tees a policy of insurance showing that said bidder is insured against loss through accident or negligence in such a way as to s~tisf~ctorily ?rotect said City of South San Franci~co,under the provisions of the "Workmen's Compensation Insurance ~nd B~fety Act of the State of ~alifornia." The contract must be entered into in compliance withsnd subject to the conditions imposed by Section 6~0 of the Penal Code of the ~tate of ~alifornia. Sealed Proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before ?:~0 oSclock P.M. on Momday,the ?th day of June 1926. All sealed proposals or bids will be open by said Board of Trustees in public session on M Monday ,the ?th da~ of June,1926,at ?:~0 o'clock p.m. in the council Chamber of said Board.
