RESOLUTION OF AWARD.
W~HtREAS the Board of n
.rus~ees of the City of Suuth San Francisco did, in
open session, on the 7th day of June, !926, publicly open, e:.:amine and dec]are
ail sealed proposals or bid~~ for cleaning the paved ~'treets, paved a!iey~., culverts
and catch-bs~ins within the City of Eouth S~ Fr~cisco;
RE~0LVED by the BoarS. of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that
~aid Board of Trustees hereby rejects all said ]:,roposals or bids e:~cept that ne:~t
herein mentioned, and ~o~eby awards the contract for doing said work and im):rvve-
~,:enz to the lowest responsible bidder, to-v~'it: F.W. Y. Brown, at tho price naned
in his bid, to-wit: One ~i~dred and Ninety-Eight Dol]ar~ ($198.00) per ~onth.
Said 2. W. ~. Brown, to whom is awarded the contract, wi]] be required to e~ecute
a bond for the faithfu~ perfo~::ance of his work in an amo~mt equal to Twenty-five
(~5) per cent of the ar~o~t el' thi~ ~dertaking, with at lea~:t tvJo re~'pom'ible
suretie~~ in the l'uU] amount of the bid each; and will aisc be required before
enterin~ u?on the work to fu~ish a good ~d s~fffficient bond as required by
act of the Legislates of the State of California a~roved Liay 10, 1919, entitled
"An Act to secure the payment of the cia.s off per~ons who ffurni~h materials,
'uprli~' teams impalements or r~achinery used or con~meq by such contractors in
~he ]~erfformauce off such works, and prescribing the duties of certain public ~ficers
with reference thereto," and v~il] also be req~red to e:.~hibit to said Board
Trustees a Do]icy of ins~=ance showing that said bidder is ins~ed against toss
thr ,u~h acciSent or neg]isence in such a way as to satis.factorily protect said
City of So,~th San b~rancisco, under the provisions of the "Workmen's Comp~sation
insurance and SaTety Act of the otate off Cslifornia."
The contract mu~. t be entered into in comyliance with and subject to the
c~nditions imposed by ~ection 65~c off the Penal Code of the State of California.
The street cleaning work herein ?rovided for ~hall be done to the satisfact-
ion of said Board of Trustee~ and str~ct!y in accord~ce with the specifications
