HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 01-2013RESOLUTION NO. 1-2013 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO STATE OF CALIFORNIA .A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RECOGNIZING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE C11 I Y OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO IN THE SAN MATEO COUNTY SUBREGION FOR THE REGIONAL HOUSING NEEDS ALLOCATION PROCESS AND ACCEPTANCE OF ITS ASSIGNED HOUSING SHARE WHEREAS, the Association of Bay Areas Goveniments (ABAG) is required by State law to administer the Regional. Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) process in the Bay Area; and, WHEREAS, under State law ABAG may delegate administration of the program to local jurisdictions within any county that form a sub-region for the purposes of distributing housing need allocations among the members of the sub-region; and, WHEREAS, all the cities in San Mateo County and the County of Sail Mateo adopted resolutions to form. a Sub-region that was approved by ABAG in March 2011; and, WHEREAS, the Sub-region has completed the process to develop a proposed Final Allocation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of South San Francisco acknowledges its participation in the San Mateo County Sub-regional Housing Needs Allocation Process and hereby accepts the proposed Final Housing Allocation for use in its Housing Element as the planning target for housing development for the planning period running from 2014 through 2022; and hereby agrees to the submittal of the Final Housing Allocation to the Association on ofBay Area Governments by the Executive Director of the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County, or designated agent, as administrative agent for the Sub-region. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council, City of South San Francisco at the regular meeting held on the 9t" day of January, 2013 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Richard Garbarino and Pradeep Gu ta Ma or Tern Karyl Matsumoto and Mayor Pedro Gonzalez.
