PROVIDING FOR T~ PURCN~SE OF FIRE
HYDRANTS.
RESOLVED by the Board of TrUStees of the City of South San F. ancieco that public interest
and convenience require that said City should purchase twelve(12) fi~e hydrants.Said hydramts
shall conform with thebspecifications therefor filed in the office.of the City Clerk of said
City of South San ~ancisco on the 2$th day of ~ebruary,1927 which specifications are hereby
adopted for such fi~e hydrants and to which specificgtions reference is hereby made.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to published f~:~r twol2) weeks in'The Enterprise and
The South San ~ranciscoJ~urnal" a Newspaper of General circulation printed and published in
said City of So~th San F~ancisco, the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for
furnishing such fire hyd~auts to said City of South San Francisco.
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR
BIDS FOE FDR~IEEING;FIRE.£HYDRANTS TO
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Trustees of the City of South~San ::
Francisco until 7:30 o'clock p.m. on M~nd~y,the 21st day of March,I927,for furnishing twelve(12)
giro hydrants to said City of South San F~ancisco.
Ail said fire hydrants must be in strict compliance with the reguire~ts of the specifi-
cations adopted by said Board of Trustees on the28th day of February,1927,and now on file in
the office of the City Clerk.
The successful bidder shall,within five (~) days after the awm~d,enter into a contract ,.'
with the City of South San FranCisco to furnish such fire hydrants in accordance with such award.
Each proposals must be accompanied with a certified check upon a'solvent bank of the
~tate of California,payable to the City of South San Francisco,in an amount not less than Ten
(10~ per cent of the aggregate of the bid,upon the condition that if the proposals b~ accepted
and the contract awarded, and the bidder shall fail and neglect to execute the contract,the
sum mentioned in said check shall be liquidated damages for such failure and neglect,and shall
be forfeited and paid into the Treasury of said City of South San ~ancisco.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before ?:~0 O'clock
p.m. on Monday the 2lst day of March,192?.
All seal&d proposals or bids will be opened by said Board of Trustees in public session
on Monday,the ~lst day of March,192? at ?:~0 p.m. o'clock in the $ouncil Chamber of said Board.
The Board of TrUStees hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
