HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 150A-1927 (409)RESOLUTION "G" THE NUI~B:E~ of fire hydrants owned by and itl use in the City of South San Fraucisco is insufficient for the purposes of adequate protection against fire and One Hundred Thirty (1ZO) additional fire hydrants are needed to give s&Hd City adequate protection in case of fire;and WHEREAS the existing fire alarm telegraph system is insufficient in extent for the purposes of adequate pr$$ection against fire;and WHERF~S,in order that said C~ty may have adequate protection against fire,the'combination chemical engine and hose car owned by smd City shonld be equipped with a 750 gallon pump,and said City should acquire such pu~p to be installed upon said combination chemical engine and hose car; and s~id City should acquire a new 750 gallon combination pumping ~w~ engine and hose car with w~ter tank e,]uipment and also twenty-five h~dred (2500) feet of standard fire hose;and ~HEREAS,inorder that said City may have adequate protection against fire,said City should acquire ,construct,and complete a building east of the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company for the purpose of housing fire fighting appartus: NOW,Th~.EFORE bt it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco as follows: FIRST. It is hereby determined that public interest and necessitydemand the acquisition ,construction and completion bY said City~of South Sa~ Francisco,~ municipal corporation of One Hundred Thirty (130) fire hydrants,a acquisition,construction and completion of and extention to the fire alarm telegraph system now existing in said City,the acquisition'of a 7~0 gallon~pump to be installed on the combination chemical engine and hose car now owned by said City,~he ac- quisition of new 750 gallon combination pumping engine and hose car with water tank eqUipment,the acquisition of twenty five hundred (2500} feet of standard fire hose and the acquisition,construction and completion of a building on the easterly side of the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railros Company for the purposes of housing fire fighting appartus. SecOnd. It is hereby determined that the cost of the acquisition,construction and completion by said City of South San Francisco,a municipal corporation,of One Hundred Thirty (1ZO) fire hydrants the acquisition construction and completion of an extention to the fire ~la3mn telegraph system now existing in said City,the acquisition of a 7~0 gallon combination pumping engine and hose car with wzter tank equipment,the acquisition of twenty fiwe hundred (2§00) feet of Standard hose an~ the acquisition,construction and c~.mplet~on of ~ building on the easterly side of the right of ~ay of th Southern Pacific Railroad Company for the purpose of housing fire fighting apparatus by said City of South San F~ancisc0, will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said City cT South San Francisco and will in addition to the ~$her'expe~ditures of said City of South San Erancisco,exceed the revenue for any one year, -O-O- O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O- O-O- O-O -0-O-O- I hereby certify that~ the foregoing resolution was regularly introdUced and adopted by the Board of Tr~tees of the City of SQuth San.Francisco th s 2nd.day of May ,~927 by the following vote: the same not being less than two-thirds (2/3) of all'the menbers of said Board: AYES;TRUST.~.P..S,Eschelbach,LLOYD,~iinucciani,Tibbetta,and Cunningham.
