O~ THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
PROVIDING FOR ~E PAINTING CITY

RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that public interest
amd necessity require that thw City Hall should be paint&d both inside and outside. Ail
painting work herein provided for shall be done in strict conformity with the specifications
therefor filed in the office of the City Clerk ~f the City of South San Francisco on the lgth.
day of October,lgE?,which specifications are herby adopted for said painting work and to which
specifications reference is hereby made.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish for two weeks in "The Enterprise~and The
So:~th San Francisco J$ummal",a newspaper of general circulation print&~iTand published in the
City of South San F~ancisco,the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for painting
the City Hall: ~
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR PAINTING
THE CITY HALL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FF~ANGISCO.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Ci~ Council of the City of South $~u Francisco
until 7:$0 o'clock p.m. on Monday,the ?th. day of November,lgP?, for painting th~ Oity Hall
of said City.
All paint and other materials used in painting said City Hall,and all work perfor~ad in
connection therewith,must be in strict compliance with the reguirements of the specifications
adopted by the City Council of said City on the lgth. day of October,192?,and now on file in
the-office of the City Clerk. The successful bidder,within five I~) days after the award,shall
enter into contract with the City of South San F ancisco to do said painting work in accordance
with such awa~. r
Each proposal~must be accompanied with a ~ertified check upon a solvent bank of She State
of California,payable to the City of South San Francisco in an amount not less than 2eh ~lOl per
cent of the aggregate of the bid,upon the condition that t~ ~he. proposals, b~.ac~p~ed~and the
emm~et awarded and the bidder shall fail and neglect to execute the contract,the sum mentioned
in said check shall be liquidated damages for such failure and neglect,and ahall be forfeite* ~?
and paid into the treasury of said City of South San Francisco.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before ?:80 o'clock
p.m. on Monday,the ?th.day of Noven~r,1927. All sealed proposals or bids will be opened by
said City Council in, public session on Monday,the 7th. day of November,192?,at ?.~0 o'clock p.m,
in the Council Chamber of said City Hall.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
