R..o0LVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that public interest and conv
convenience requ~.re that said City .-should construct a h use for ~2he central fire alarm station
in said City on the Civic Center site in said City.
Said house shall conform.with the plans and specifications thereby filed in the office
of the office of the City Olerk of the ~ity of South San Francisco on the 9th. day of January,1928,
which plans and specifications a~e hereby adopte~ for said purpose.

of such house:

Sealed proposals will be received by the City Cotmci]. of the 0ity of South San ~rsncisco
until 7:50 o'cl ck p.m..on Monday,the Z0th. day of January,1928, for the cons truc lng a house
for the central fire alarm station in said City upon the Civic Center Site in said City .
All labor and materials used in the construction of said house and said house shall, be in st:
strict comi~lian~'e with the -flans and s'oecifications adopted by said City Cotmcil ther.ofor on the
9th. day of January,1928., and now on file on the office of the City Clerk,The bidder to whom the
contract may he awarded will be required to execute to said City of South San Yrancisco a bond ~qr ih
faithful performance of his work ~n an am~o.uflt equal to Fifty ~50) per cent of the amount of his
underta~mno with at least two ~2) responsible sureties in the full amotmt of the bid each; and will
also be required,before entering upon the work.to furnish a good and sufficient bond as required by
an act of the Legislature of the State of California approved lday 10,1919,entitled "An act to secure
the !'a~:ent of the claims of persons employed by contractors ui~on public works, and the claims of
persons who ~urn~h mate~iais ,su~rlies.., ,teams,implements,or machinery used or consumed b~,~, such contrac
ors in performance of such works, and prescribing,the duties of certain public officers with ref~renc,
ther.:~to;" and wil] also ~e required to exhibit to said City Council a l:olicy of insurance showing
that said bidder is insured against loss tnrouoh acci dent or negligence tutder the provisioz~ of the

The contract must be entered into in comT:liance with and subject to the conditions .imposed
by Section "65~ c of the Pena.:_ Code of the ~*~

Each proposals must be accompanied with a certified check u~.~on a solvent bank of t~e State
of California,payable to the City of South San Francisco in an amount not less than ten (10) per
cent of the agg~regate of the bid,upon the condition that if the Froposais be accepted and the contrac'
awarded,and the bidder shall fail and neglect to execute the contract,the sum mentioed in sai~ check
shsll be liquidated damages for such failure and neglect and shall forfeited and paid into the treas-
ury of said City of S~.~uth San Francisco.
Sealed proposals or bids Wil be delivere~ to the City Clerk on or before 7:Z0 o'clock p.m.

All sealed proposals or bids will be opened by said City Rouncil in public session on
1,[onday,the J0th. day of January,192~!, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the Council Ch~::ber of said City Counci
The City Council hereby e~serves the rojht to reject any and all bids.
