RESOLVED byt the C:~ty Coraacil of the City of 2curb San Yrancisco that public interest
and convenience require tha$ said City should co?,struct a f±~ hc,~se for a central
fire alarm statt~nn on the Civic Cmnter Site in said City.
Said house shall confor~:, with the plans ~nd specifications therefor ~iled in the a~ffice
of the City Cle.;-k of the City of ~outh San Francisco on the 6th. day of February,12B8,which.?lcns ~
and sp~cific~:tions a~e hero, by adopted for ~he said Purpose.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to pul$1ish,, for two (2) weeks in the Enters:rise and
the ~outh £an 7rancisco Journal",a newsi~gDer of general circulation i~rinted and published in said
City of So~,th San _~'rancisco,the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the
construction of s~ch house.

until ?:30 o'clock p.m. on Monday,the 27th. day. of ~ebruary,1928,for the cons~truc~i~ a house for
a central fire alarm station upon the Civic Center Site in said Gity .
All labor and materials used in the construction of said house and said house shall be in
strict compliance wfth'tBe plans and specifications adopted by said City Council thereffor on the
6th.day of February,1928, and now om file in the office off the City Clerk. The bidder to whom
the contract may be awarded wil~ be required to e~en~te to said City of South ~:an ~rancisco a bond.
for the faithfful performance of his work in an amount equal to fifty (50) per cer, toi' the
amount off his undertaking with at least two (2) responsible sureties in the full a~o~t oi' the
bid each; and will also ~e_r~quired,bei'ore enteri;,~g~ u:,on the. ~. ork,to furni~.h a good and sufi'ici~nt

The contract must be entered intomin aompliance with and. subject to the conditions imposed
by Section 653c of the Penal Code of the State of California.
Each proposal must be accompanied with a certified check upon a solvent bar~ of the State
of California,payable to -the City of South Dm% 2rancisco in an ar,.,~,u~at not ].ess than ten (10)
~er cent of the ai~,gregate of the bid,upon the condition that if the yroposals be accepted and the
contract awardeS,a:;d the bidder shall fail a'ad ne,f:iect to execute the contract.,the s]m] mention~d
in said check shall be liquidated damages for such failure and neglect and shai 1 be forfeited
and ~-aid into the treasury of said City of South [!ar~ Prcncisco.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before 7:Z0 o"clock.

The City Council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
