WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did,in open session
on the 6th.~day of ~ebruary.1928,publicly open,examine and declare all sealed proposals
or bids for furnishisg,constructing and installing all apparatus and .equipment for the
central fire alarm station for said City and also all bids for furnishing, and installing
forty (A0) fire alarm boxes as p.art of the fire alarm system of said City,all of which
apparatus.equipment and fire alarm boxes are referred to and described in the plans
and specif~ications for furnishing and installing fire~.alarm apparatus and equipment for
a fire alarm system fc~ the City of South San Francisco,which plans and specifications
were adopte~ by the City Council ~n the 22nd. Aay .og. December,1927, and are now. on file
in the office .of the City Clerk~
RESOLVE]) that sai~ City C~uncil hereby rejects all sai~ proposals or bids exce. pt
those herein mentioned and here~y awards the contract for furnishing,constructing
installing all appar, at~s an~ e~uipm_ent constituting sai~ central fire alarm ststion to the
responsible'
loweStxbidder, Universal ~ool and Manufacturing Company,a corpomation,at a price named in
its bid therefor.to-wit: six ~housand Twenty-Eight and 4~/100 Doltars~$6,~8~45,and also
· wm~ds the contract for furnishing and installing forty '(40} fire alarm boxes to the lowest
responsible bidder.said Universal ~ool and Manufacturing Company.at the price named in its
bid therefor,to-wit: ~hree Thousand Nine Hundred and ~hirty Dollars
Ail materials _a~d labor required to ~e furnished and performed in connection with
the work as to which this awar~ is made shall conform strictly with t~e requirements of
said plans an~ 'specifications,
~he Mayor of sai~ C~ty and the City Clerk' are hereby authorized and directed, in
the name of said City of South San ~rancisco and under its corporate seal.to enter 'into an.
agreement with ~aid Universal ~ool and Manufacturing Company for the performance of the work
covered by this resolution~
