PUBLICATION 0F NOTICE TO BIDDERS ~0R ~URNISH~-
ING ~IRE HOSE TO THE CITY O~ SOUTH SAN ~RAN~

RESOLVED bythe City Council of the City of South San ~r~ncisco that public ~interest and
convenience require that said City should acquire two thousand ~2000) feet of two and one-half
~2 1/2} inch double Jacketed cotton,rubber lined lapped tube fire hose,and five hundred
feet of one and one-h~lf il 1/2) inch fire hose of the same kind.
All said fire hose shall conform with the specifications therefor filed in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of South San ~rancisco on the lAth. day of~ay,l~28,which specifications
are hereby adopted for said puropose~
The City Clerk iS hereby directed to publishe for two I2) weeks in "~he Enterprise and ~he
South San ~rancisco Journal" a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City
of South San ~raucisoo,the following notice invitinf sealed proposals ~r bids for furnish&ng such
fire hose to the City of South San ~rancisco .

FURNISHING TIRE HOSE TO Tw~ CI~ 0N SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO.
Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco until
?:~0 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the Arb.day of June,1928,for furnishing to said City of South S~ ~aucisc¢
2Wo Thousand five hundred feet [2500~ of double Jacketed cotton, rubber lined,lapped tube fire hose
of which two thousand 12000) fett shall be two and one-half ~ 1/2 .) inch diameter and five hundred
18001 feet shall be one and one-half [11/2 diameter. Ail such hose shall be in strict compliance with
the specifications adopted by said City Council therefor on the l&th.day of May,1928,and now on file
in the office of the City Clerk.
~ne bidder to whom the contract may be awar&&d will be required to execute to said City of South
San Francisco a bond for the faithfull performance of his contract,in an amount equal to twenty-five
125) per cent of his undertakings,with at leastbtwo 12) responsible sureties in the full amount of the
bid each~
Each proposals must be accompanied with a certified check upon ~ solvent bank of the State
of California,payable to the City of South San Francisco in an amount w~w=?~ not less than ten 110)
per cent of the aggregate of the bid,upon the condition that if the proposals be aceep$&d and the
contract awar&&d, and the bidder shall fail and neglect to execute the contract,the sum mentioned
in said check s~ll be li~idated damages for su~ failure and neglect,and shall be forfeited and
paid into the treasury of the City of South San ~rancisco~
Sealed proposals or bids wil~ be delivered to the City Clerk on or before 7;~0 o'clock p.m. on
Monday,the 4th.day of M~x June,1925.
All sealed porposals or bids will be opened by said City $~cil in public session,on Monday,
the Ath.day of June,19E8 at ?;~0 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chamber of said Oity Council.
~he City Council hereby reserves She right to reject any and a~l bids.
