Section. ,4. Tha$ that area on the northerly side Of Grand Avenue, lying
between the existing gutter and' the- existing pavement and extending from the east-
erly line of CheSlmut Aveaue to the north easSerly line of Mission Road and that area
on the southerly side of Grand Avenue lying between the existing gutSer and
existing pavement and ,extending from the northeasterly line of Mission Road to
line across said area, as shown on the said plans and specifications, hereinafter
referred to, at the intersection of the southerly line of ~rand Avenue and the north-
westerly line of Oak Avenue, be improved by grading said areas for the full width
and length of said areas between said lines and by paving said areas with an asphaltic
concrete pavement three (3) inches in thickness laid upon and asphaltic concrete base
four (4) inches in thickness.
Section ~. That that portion of Grand Avenue from the easterly line o~ Obese-
nut Avenue to O~ Avenue be improved by grading between the southerly edge of the
existing pavement and the southerly property line, also by constructing on the south-
erly side of said portion for the ~ull length thereof a combined ~ydraulic cement con-
crete curb ~d gutter and a hydraulic cement concrete sidewal~, and also by paving
said portion between the said existing pavement _~d .the proposed concrete gutter with
and as?baltic concrete pavement three (3) inches.in ~hickness laid upon an asphaltic
cOncrete base four (A) inches in thickness.
Section 6~ That those portions o~ Grand Avenue and Oa~ Avenue immediately
at and surrounding the Junction of said avenues as Said portions of said avenues are
more particluarly s~own on that special detailed drawing, forming a part of the plans
hereinafter mentioned, said sheet showing said drawing being marked in the lower lef~
hand corner as "1~.13", be imrpoved by grading all said portions as shown on said
detailed drawing, also by o~nstrue.~ing combined hydraulic cement concrete curbs and
gutters and hydraulic cement concrete sidewalks in such portions and at such locations
as all are more particularly shown on .said detailed drawing, and also by construe.ting
on said portions o~ sai~ Oa~ Avenue and Grand Avenue between the existing pavemen~ on
Grand Avenue and the herein proposed gutters, an asphaltic concrete pavement three (~)
inches in thickness laid on an asphaltic concrete base four (A) inches in thickness,

iron frames and gratings, be constructed in the gutter in ~rand Avenue at the ~wo

~eo~io~ 8. That two (2) red burnt brick s~o~m-wa~er ca~c~-basins with cast
iron frames and gratings be constructed in t~e gutters, one at the northwest corner
existing pavement an~ extending from the n°r~heasterly line of Mission Road to a
line across said area, as shown on the said plans and specifications hereinafter
referred to, at the intersection of the southerly line of Graua Avenue and the north-
westerly line of 0a~ Avenue, be improved by grading said areas for the full wldv~
and length of said areas between said lines an~ by paving said areas with an asphaltic
concrete pavement three ~5) inches in t~ickness laid upon and asphaltic concrete base
four ~4] inches in thickness.

connected wit~ the existing storm-water manhole at the intersection of Orange Avenue
an~ Railroad Avenue, by the construction of ten ~10) inch vitrified salt-glazed
ironstone storm-water sewers at the places shown upon the plans for SUCh sewers.
Section ~. ~hat fifty-five (551 feet of eighteen (181 inch diameter salt-
glazed vitrified ironstone pipe storm sewer with one ~1] red burnt brick m~nhole,
capped with cast iron frame and cover, be constructed in tYae centerline of
~calyptus Avenue from t~e southerly line of Commercial Avenue ~erl~,

storm-water catch-basins with cast iron frames an~ gratings be constructq~ in the gutters,
one at tho northwest sorner and o~e at t~e northeast corner of the intersection of Eucalyptu
Avenue with Comm'erolal Avenue, at t~e places shown upon se.id plans hereinafter mentioned,
an~ that both such c&tch-basins be connected with the proposed mtorm-water m~bole by the
construction of ten {10) inch diameter vitrified sal~-gl&ze~ ironstone sewer pipe at the

Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, Commercial Avenue, Eucalyptus Avenue, Orange Avenue, Railroad
Avenue, the portion of t~e alley between Miller Avenue and Grand. Avenue, from ~pruce Avenue
to Miller Avenue, and the portion of the alley between Grand Avenue and Baden Avenue, from
Acacia Avenue to Orange Avenue, in the City of Sout~ San Francisco, County o~ San Mates,
State of CaAifornia," which plans, profiles and specifications were heretofore adop~ed by
said City Council on ~e 28t~ day of May, 1928, and are now On file in the office of ~e
City Clerk, to which plans, profiles and specifications reference is hereby made for a full
description of said work and for the location and extent of the work to be done hereunder
and for a particular description of the boundaries of the distric~ herein mentioned, There
is excepted, however, from ~e above mentioned work any and all such work as has been already
done tO official grade,
And said City Council does hereby deteremine and declare that said proposed work
and improvement is of more th~n local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and benefit
the lands and district.hereinafter described, w~icn said distric~ is hereby declared to be
the district benefitted by said work and improvement and tha~ ~herefore the entire costs
and expenses of sai~ worx and improvement shall be and are here~y made chargeable against
and shall be assessed upon said lands and district, except as hereinafter expressly provideS,

manner specified in the "Improvement Bond Act of 19lb" and the amendments thereto, the

passage of this resolution of intention, in the manner and form required by the
"Improvement Act of 1~11" and the smendments thereto.
