HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 216-1928RESOLU~ION ORDERING WORK 0F C~0SING UP A PORTION 0F ORANGE AVENUE IN THE~CITY OF SOUTH SAN ~RANCISC0. WHEREAS the City Council of the Ci.~y Sf South San ~rancisco did, on the 18th day of June, 1928, pass a resolution declaring its intention to order the following street work to be done in said city, to-wit: That, that portion of Orange Avenue, in said City of South San Francisco, described as follows: Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 1, Block 85, Map of South San Francisco Plat No. l, which map was filed for record March 1st, 1892, in Volume B. of Maps at page 6, San Mateo County Records; ~unning thence from said point of beginning along the easterly line of said Lot l, South 15v 33' West 100 feet; thence leaving saia Lot line on surve to the~right tangent of said Lot line having a radius of 210 feet, a distance of 10~.23 feet to the northerly line of said Lot l, produced~eas~erly; thence North ~&o 2?' West feet to the point of beginning, be vacated and closed up in whole, and did in said resolution declare that no land is necessary to be taken therefor, and did in said resolution specify the exterior boundaries of the district of lands to be affected and benefitted by said work and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, to which said resolution of intention now on file in said matter reference is hereby maae for further particulars and the same is made a part hereof; and WHEREAS the Street Superintendent of said City of South San Fraucisco dia thereupon cause no~ice of the passage of said resolution to be posted and published in the manner and form required by law and by said resolution of intention, referenc~e being hereby made for further particulars to the a!'fi~davit of George, A. Kneese, s~id Street Superintendent, ana to the affi~vi~ of A. E. Bramble, which affidavit is now on f~ile in said m~tter in the office 2'] of the Clerk of said. City Council and is made a part hereof; and ~REASthe proposed work is for the Closing up cf a portiontol 0r~nge Avenue, as hereinbefore described;' and WHEREAS~said City CounCil of the City of South San Francisco baa determined and does hereby determine that noassessment is necessary for the doing of said proposed work, and that no damage will result by closing up of said portion of Orange Avenue, as hereinbefore described; NOW, THEREPORE, Said City Council hereby ordersthat the ~ollowing street wor~ be done in ~aid city, to-wit: That, that portion o~ Orange Avenue, in said City of South San Francisco, de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the northeasterly corner cZ Lot 1, Block 85, Map of South San FranciSco Plat No. l, which map was filed for record March 1st, 1892, in Volume B of Maps at page 8, San Mateo County Records; ~unning thence from said point of 'beginning along the easterly line of said Lot l, South 15v 33' West 100 feet; thence leaving said Lot.line on a curve to the right tangent to said Lot line having a radius of 210 feet, a distance of 104.2J feet to the northerly line cZ said Lot l, produced easterly; ~hence North 74© 27' WeSt 25.34 feet to the point of beginning.
