RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Sou~h San ~rancisco, a municipal corpbration, in the County of San. Mateo, State of California, that public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of said City Council to order the following stree~ Work to be done in said City, to-wi~: That, that portion of Industrial Way, in said City of South San ~rancisco, described as- follows: A strip of said Industrial Way twenty (20) feet in width and bordering upon the easterly boundary line oi' saia Industrial Way, be Sac~ted ~nd closed up in whole That iZ is unnecessary to take any land therefor. That the following described district of land is hereby declared to be the district bene~'itted by said work and to be assessed to pay the costs ~ua expenses there- o~ and tha~ said~ aistrict is situated in the City of South San Francisco, County oi' San Mateo, State of California, and the exterior boundaries thereoI' are particularly described as follows, to-wit:. Beginning at a point l'ormed by the intersection of the westerly line o~ Industrial Way with the northerly line of Swift Avenue ana running thence northerly ~long the wester!y.bo~undary.line ol' Industrial Way to the intersection thsreof with the southerly boundary line of Butler Road; Shence easterly along the southerly boundary line of Butler Romd to a point 500 feet easterly from.the point formed by the intersection of the easterly line o~ Industrial ~ay with said southerly boundary line of BuGler Road; thence seutherly and parallel with the easterly boundary line of Industrial Way to the northerly boundary line of Swift Avenue thence westerly along the northerly boundary line of Swift Avenue to the point o±' beginning; saving and excepting from said district all streets and avenues therein containede All of the herein proposed wor~ shall be done in pursuance of an act of t~e Legislature of the Sta~e of California entitled "An act to provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing up, in whole .or .in~ part, any~ street, squ~re, lane, alley, court, or place within municiplaities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose," approved March 6, 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof of supplemautal thereto, The street superintenaent is hereby directed to c~use to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or improvement notices of the passage of this re- solution in the manner and form required by law. Said street superintendant is likewise directed also to cause a notice similar in substance to be published by four [~) successive insertions in "The Enterprise and the South San ~rancisco Journal", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco, which newspaper is hereby designated by said City Council as the newspaper in which said street superintendent's notice of passage of this resolution shall be published. -O-O-O-O-O-O-O-0-O- I hereby certify that the foregoing, resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City o±' South San ~rancisco~ this 20th d~y o£ August, 19£8, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen A.
