Eo~ ~a.u~a~n and ALmee Eauffma~n, an option for the purchase of all that certain tract
or l~rcel o'f land situate' in the City of So,th 8an ~ano~'co, 0ounty of San ~ateo,
State of California, and particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Tide tot No. 29 in Seot'ion 2?-, Township 3 South, ~ange 5 West, ~. D. B & ~.
containing 7.84 acres as said Tide lot is shown on that oertaLn ~alo entitled ~ap No. 1
of Salt Marsh and Tide lands situated in the COunty of Sa~ Mateo, State of Calif-
ornia" approved by the Board of Tide Land Commissioners September 25, 1871; and
~RF~S ~rchetti Patents Inc., has entered into an agreemmt with 3o'uth ~an
~ranoisoo Land and Improvement Company for the purchase of land in the vicinity of
the land hereinbefore described and desires to purchase the land hereinbefore des-
cribed and to use all said land for the purpose of constructing and maintaining an
industrial plant thereon; and
WtIER.EAS, in the opinion of the City Council of said City of South San ~ran-
cisco, such industrial plant will be beneficial to said City~ and ~ ~
~WHEREAS sgid 'City of South 8an Francisco' ne~ed~ additiozfal land for tb~ pur-
poses of the public park lying West of Orange Avenue and South of Railroad Avenue in
said City, and South San ~rancisco l~nd and Improvement Company has offered said
City of South San Francisco an option to purchase 7.84 acres of land lying adjacent
to said public park, being the equivalent in. acreage of the land covered by 'the
option first hereinbefore mention, .on the condition that said City of South San
~rancisoo shall surrender the option hereinbefore mentioned and transfer its rights in
the land described therein to said South San Francisco Lahd and Improvement Company
and accept from said South San ~rancisco Land and Improvement Company an option for
the pmrchase o~ the land hereinafter described for the total sum of Three Thousand
l~ine ttundre~ Seventy-eight and 15/100 Dollars ~$3,978.15), being the amount unpaid
on said first mentioned option; and
WHE1LVAS said South San Francisco Land ar~l Improvement Company has also
agreed to convey .to said City an easement located in said City suitable for garbage
dumping purposes;
NOW, Tt~ERE~0RE, RESOT, VED by the City Council of the City of 8outh San
~rancisoo that said City accept said option to purchase, for the total sum of Three
Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-eight and 15/100 Dollars ($3,978.15), all that cer-
tain tract or parcel of land situate in the City of South San Francisco, 0ounty of
San Marco, State'of California, and described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of that certain twenty acre tract,
conveyed by South San ~rancisco Land and Improvement Company to the City of South
San Francisco, by deed recorded May 1, 1925 in Volume 159 of Official Records of
San Marco County at page 462, Running thence from said ~oint of beginning along
the westerly boundary of said twenty acre tract North 36 06' ~$" East 1056.27
feet to the northwesterly corner thereof; said point being distant 40 feet at
right angles southerl, y from the so. utherly line of the right of way of the South-
ern Pacific Company {Baden branch); thence parallel with and distant 40 feet at
right angles southerly from said right of way north 74o 27' West 319.70 feet;
thence On the arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 1081 feet, a distance
of 242.14 feet; thence South 15o 33' West 909.98 feet to a point distant 40 feet
at right, angles northerly from.the northerly lin~ of the Southern Pacific right
of way {Valencia Street Branch); thence South 55~ 59' 10" East 178 feet to the
point of beginning.
CONTAINING 7.84 acres.
Reserving an easement 50 feet in width for the construction of a drainage
canal lying 25 feet on each side of the following described oenterliz~ Beginning
at a point distant South 36o 06' 36" West 561,79 feet from the northeasterly cot-

net of the above describe~ parcel of land~ r~nning thence north 59° $9' 57" West 355 feet more
or less to a point in the westerly boundary line of said parcel.
