HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 233-192822S NOTICE INVITING SEAL~11 PROPOSALS OR BIDS CONSTRUCTING A SIGN ADVERTISING SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO THE INDUSTRIAL CITY. Sealed proposals or bids will be received by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco until ?:Bo o'clock P. M. on ~onday, the 26th day of November, 1928, for constructing a sign advertising South San Francisco the Industrial City~ Said sign shall be constructed in strict compliance witch the plans and specifications adopted by the City Council therefor on the ~th day of November, 1928, and now on file in the office of the City Clerk. The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall be required to execute to said-~City of South San Francisco a bond for the faithful perfo~rmauce of his contract in an amount equal to twenty-five $~8) per cent of his undertaking with a laast two (21 responsible sureties in the full amount of the bid each. Each proposal must be accompanied with a certified check upon a solvent bank of the State of California, payable to the City of ~outh San Francisco in an amount not less than ten (10) per cent of.the aggregate of the bid, upon the condition that, if the proposal.be accepted, and the contract awarded, and the bidder shall fail and neglect to execute the contract, the sum mentioned in said check shall be liquidated damages for such failute ~nd neglect and shall be forfeited and paid into the treasury of the City of South San Francisco, Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before ?:50 o'clock p. m. on Monday, the 26th day of November, 1928. All sealed proposals or bids will be opened by said City Council in public session on Monday, the ~rd day of December, 1928, at ?:30 o'clock p. m. in the Council Chamber of said City Council. ~ The City Council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bidS.
