ARESOLUTION 0F THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY 0~
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DIRECTING THE PUBLICATION
0P NOTICE TO BIDDERS FOR THE-CONSTRUCTION 0F A
SIGN ADVERTISING SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO THE INDUS-
TRIAL CITY.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San J~rancisco that public
interest and convenience require that said City should construct a sign advertising South San
Francisco the Industrial City. ~Sai~d sign shall b~ c ~onstructe& at the location shown upon the
plans' hereinafter ~meHtioned.
Said sign shall conform with the plans and specifications therefor filed in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco on the 5th day of November,
1928, which plans and specificatior~ ~,re hereby adopted for said purpose.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish for two (2) weeks in "The
Enterprise and The South San Francisco Journal", a weekly newspaper of general cireulation,
?rinted and published in said City of South San Francisco, the folliv,~g notice inviting sealed
proposals or bids for constructing a sign advertising said City of South San Franc is c o the
Industrial City:

Sealed proposals or bids will be received by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco un~il 7:30 o'clock p. m. on ;¥ionday, the 7th day of J~nuary, 1929,
for constructing a sign advertising South San Francisco the Industrial City, Said sign shall
be constructed in strict compliance with the plans and specifications ad.~,pted by the City
Council therefor on the 5th day of November, 1928, and now on file in the office of the City
Clerk, and at the Ices. tick, s shown ul~on said plans.
The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall be req~aired to execute
~o said City of South San Francisco a bond for the faithful performance of his contract in an
amount equal to twenty-five ~25) per cent of his undertaking with o~t least two ~2) responsible
sureties in the full amount of the bid each. Eacg priposal must be accompanied with a cer-
tified check upon a solvent bank of the State of California, payable to the City of South San
Francisco in an amount not less than ten (10) per cent of the aggregate of the bid, upon the
condition that, if the proposal be accepted, and th~ contract awarded, and the bidder shall
fail and neglect to ep~ecute the contract, the sur~ mentioned in said check shall be liquidated
damages for such failure and neglect and shall be forfeited and paid into the treasury of the
City of South San Francisco.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before
7:30 o'clock P.M. on Monday, the ?th day of January, 1929.
All sealed proposals or bids will be opened by said City Council in public
session on Monday, the ?th day of January, 1929, at 7:50 o'clock P.E. in the Council Chamber
of said City Co~nucil.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
